I mean, 4th minute of injury time.....the ball gets clonked forwards and we have four players streaming after it with their only thought being let's get another goal (and they did!)

It's kind of admirable, but you wonder if we might have a few more points if we had a few more players with a ruthless, cynical streak that were willing and able to shut a game down.

Under Manning we could kill any game (and it was boring), now we cant even lightly stun it. It made me laugh when BB and Cam tried to keep the ball in the corner, with three minutes to go, and immediately lost it.

Horrendous first half , distribution from our back four was abject
Much improved 2nd half and shows how much we’ve missed having a quality bench to call up on

In the end , good result and very handy 3 points.
First half as forgettable as can be.
Other than work from Harris, and great support and overlap from Leigh in the build for Murphys goal.
Once again seemed to take the foot off the pedal, after going in front. Goodrhams brightness and enthusiasm changed that for our 3rd.
Poor night For both Dale and Moore.
Great block and strength from Brown on Magennis at 3:2

I hate to break it to you but this is a football forum where people give their views on the team and players!
I know that! Don’t be so condescending. I get fed up with all the detailed criticism that is thrown around. I am a long time supporter of the team and find all the negative and sometimes stupid comments pathetic. Support the team not keep criticising it!!

An enjoyable evening!

Thought the club tried with the atmosphere today, the entrance music seemed to have been turned up a notch and the display on the advertising boards shortly before the players entered almost created a light show effect. Perhaps with the floodlights off and the scoreboard joining in that's something to be explored before the Northampton game? Good to see some flags at the back of the Jim Smith stand. They're normally behind me but I was in South stand tonight.

Signs of improvement on the pitch too with a seriously strong bench, great to have that as we start the run in.

Onwards and upwards!

Bodin has his good qualities, but the mind boggles as to why HE was the player tasked with keeping the ball in the corner flag πŸ˜‚

I seem to be alone in that I enjoyed that game, we won, 6 goals and plenty of action.

It’s league one football, it’s not going to be perfect.

Long probably summed that up tonight, he was truly terrible in the first half, looked like a bloke who had never played before and won a competition to be out there. Second half he was much better, looked like he remembered how to play.

Great for Murphy to notch for the first time in about a decade, pretty restrained celebrations from him considering how long it had been, deserved his man of the match and his best game for us. Goodrham was a quality sub, hurt them and made a big impact, Harris led the line and is a proper athlete.

I like the differing opinions. While one or two go a bit far most people on here I find quite measured with their views.

Love your comments. Let’s appreciate the effort made by the club! As you say onwards and upwards.

Also, three minutes? It ain’t gonna happen. I really like seeing Bodin back, on a basic level he’s tall and can win a few in the air, as well as his unpredictable skillz

Just got home that first half was just shambolic good job we got that goal by Murphy 45+3 before that point only 1 team was in the game must had had a kick up the backside at half time second half was watchable and makes a change to see a decent bench that could make a difference not seen a bench like that for months on end but now is the time to kick and push on now and there are now no excuses for DES. But must start better on Saturday or Wycombe will be out of sight by half time on that first half showing. Man of the match I thought was Murphy had a very good game and made some good crosses starting to look like a player now COYY πŸ‘

Through gritted teeth
Not really. I'm delighted we won, we needed it and it keeps the run in interesting. The quality of our players won the day.

It doesn't change my view that I haven't seen an Oxford manager as bad at initial tactics since Kemp. Honestly I'm not even convinced there is any game plan when they first get sent out.

To his credit, he changed things around at half time.

The other explanation is that we've appointed Stevie Wonder as the new first team analyst, which is possible but I think beyond even Tim.
