Hi. It’s lovely and sunny here in Northampton. Shame, I was looking forward to today’s game. They don’t seem too bothered in the NTFC fans forum but over here ... gee it’s all kicking off!
I think it’s probably because you guys treat this as a derby game whereas over the border it’s just another game. Enjoy your sunny afternoon guys and hope to see you again when the weather perks up a bit.
Waterlogged pitch eh? Better peg down that swanky new stand of yours, lest it get swept away...

No team would give up home advantage.
What advantage? With no supporters I can’t see much else that gives them the advantage. Delay the kick off for an hour or so to get essential stadium staff in and get on with it.
Unusual times, unusual solutions?

You are utter bottle jobs. There should have been no question of getting a "local" referee in before 1PM in my view, with no fans and a 40 minute journey. A bit of forking (plus the effort to cover it in advance of course) and theres no issue at all. Sure if Curley had been able to bring in reinforcements we would not be in this situation now.

The most half arsed attempt at getting a game played i have ever seen.

Ah bless.

I think we are all just a bit fed up with having a tinpot little team like yours in the league, which has a shitty, unplayable little pitch.

To be unable to play today is so amateur, you must be a little bit embarrassed.

Thanks for popping on here to say hello though. It’s nice to know you’re here, now fcuk off.

No rain since 8am and lovely bright sunshine here in Northamptonshire.

Bottlers.

No derby, just wanted another easy 3 points on the board.

What a tinpot club, if they can't keep a bit of rain from ruining their pitch?!?

This season is becoming a farce, too many clubs exploiting COVID regulations, to have games postponed, and now these shenanigans from tinpot clubs who don't have the bottle to fulfil their fixtures when they're expected to.

This is supposed to be league one for god sake, not the conference!
though todays match referee was plying his trade there, ( ok National League- rebranded Conference ) until this season.... promoted to the level of his incompetence methinks ?

Miss Fixit, please take a memo for Keith Curle...

"Treat more games as a 'derby' instead of 'just another game'....and just maybe you won't play like the worst side we've seen since York in 1976...?"

Statistics probably show that there is not much advantage but still don't think oxford would give up a home game. In the league is there any precedents?

Probably not, but we haven’t had a global pandemic and adverse weather conditions at the same time causing multiple postponements and behind closed doors games before. It would feel properly Sunday league but I’d like to know why it can’t happen in the future.

In the current circumstances with no crowds, traffic etc it was far too early to call the game off. They could have been working on it when the rain stopped and for a few hours after, then make a decision.
Seems to me that it suited both the Ref and Northampton to have it called off.
Poor and unprofessional!!

More furious with this every passing minute ...middle of a pandemic where matches being called off surely any and every chance to play should have been given to this match ...called off 5 hours before k.o. in normal winter conditions is a farce .....get a photo of how the pitch looks like now , even without any ground staff assistance and let's see 😡

Dave Pritchard has just tweeted that there are 30 fixture slots (Saturdays and Tuesdays) between now and early May when the season is due to finish. If we get to the final of the PJT we'll need to play 29 games. Can't have many more cancellations.

Cancel the trophy. In the grand scheme of things it's pointless.

Derby? We’re not even sure where Northampton is
