Happy birthday, mate! ??On a side note I was chuffed to get this in the mail, apparently the team were going to dedicate yesterdays win to me, complete with messages wishing me well on t-shirts to be revealed when we scored (the lads obviously forgot but I don't mind)
Hooray for me!

The Matty Taylor situation needs to be put to bed one way or another pretty damn quick. This ‘will he or won’t he’ saga isnt doing anybody any favours.
Today’s Bristol Post suggests a Matt Taylor update TODAY.

Jeez, reading that article Bristol City have a specific Player Loans Manager. Has the football world gone crazy? Maybe Chelsea and their tons of players out on loan and bucketloads of dosh but Bristol City?!?
I hope that if the Taylor deal was to fall through there is a good Plan B.
We desperately need another striker at the club asap.
As Mackie was (rightly) rested last night we fielded no striker in the 18 man squad.

Did we have our trousers pulled down when getting Elliott Moore? How about Ben Woodburn? Alex Gorrin Rodriguez? Did things drag on with Tariqe Fosu? Anthony Forde?I'm not sure why all the fuss with Taylor, he turned his back on us previously and by all accounts his wage demands are above our limit which given he is with a championship club cannot come as a surprise surely? As for some photo suddenly making the other club play hard ball then just walk away we're not that desperate surely?
so we seek to protect our "image" where did that get us when the whyte deal was done in 3 days but we must have our trousers pulled down and things drag on when we are the purchaser.
Herbie Kane is available for Loan. Did really well at Donny last year and being chased by Portsmouth etc.

would have to give him number 53 on his shirtIf we signed him, I hope he hits a rich vein of form.
And with our quality of wingers and AMCs supplying the ammunition, he might really Go Bananas.
No photos were released of Marcus Browne when he turned up, or Fosu who was at the club for at least 10 days before the deal was agreed, or even much about Chris Cadden who was around for weeks!
On the whole, Oxford have conducted themselves in exactly the right way throughout this transfer window and other clubs respect that. I'm not sure that anyone will be pleased that this photo was taken and published. It has left Bristol City pissed off, and that could delay or scupper a deal. Not an ideal situation at all to be honest.
I heard he was off to Monte Carlo!Herbie Kane is available for Loan. Did really well at Donny last year and being chased by Portsmouth etc.
Maybe your right I just cant remember the mail publishing pictures of other transfer targets watching games before. No pictures were posted of the other two 'easier' targets watching for example.
Were the other targets spotted in conversation with Robinson ?
Sorry but a football manager having a conversation with a much sought after striker - possible filling a position that has been a millstone around our neck for 18 months - in the tunnel in full glare of the media is absolutely newsworthy.
The Oxford Mail were 100% within their rights to report this. They wouldn’t be doing their job if they didn’t jump all over it. The whole idea of news/media outlets is to report stuff that we, the general public, are not privy to.
