This is just theory, and maybe a tad far fetched but, as the signings appear and word gets out about fee's paid and wage demands being given due consideration coupled with a good start to the season, and demonstrating some really good football, could it be that more players who had not considered us as their prime target are now re-considering? Championship players rocking up at games and being photographed talking to KR in the tunnel has got my curiosity going.

Although Taylor make take a little longer as he’s a greedy w****r
He ought to be grateful to us for giving him the chance to re-boot (pun intended) his career in League 1, which appears to be his natural home.
He averaged a goal every other game in Leagues 1 and 2, then a goal every 8 games in the Championship!

This definitely helps. It's one thing trying to convince players that we are serious about looking for promotion, but doing that on the back of poor results is so much harder. A few in the game would have sat up and noticed not only our results but also the way we've played this season and that will make a difference.

Add to that our finish to last season, when we were winning games with 10 men, beating an in form Charlton too. We’ve kept the momentum going, and we seem to be mirroring what we did under Appleton. I think we are in for an exciting season.

I hope I’m not being greeedy but wouldn’t we rather have Taylor here permanently because if he is scoring for fun other teams will take him off us lower half champ teams for instance (that’s if he even bothers to sign this time lol)

Especially where Matty Taylor is concerned. He can earn my forgiveness by scoring twenty goals this season. Although I think we're setting him past his prime.

At 29 I’m not sure he is past his prime. I think he will relish football week in week out and could easily have 2 or 3 more big seasons in him. Realistically I’m just bothered about the here and now and think he would do well for us this season so hope we finalise the deal...
