This goes back to my point last week, things like that and the groups name may mislead people into donating to them as they think Kidlington's main playing fields may be developed rather than a plot of land which is inaccessible to the public.

Why didn't they rename this group Friends of the Triangle?
With their contempt for SB, their current name is ludicrous

They tacked on 'the Triangle' to their name when our attentions turned away from SB. Their intensions were never about a love of SB or protecting nature. It was always about stopping the stadium which is confirmed in the withdrawn application to KPC. FOSB aren't described as any sort of environmental pressure group anywhere but present themselves as such.

I remember at the council Suzanne McIvor speaking before the lease was offered to OUFC and she started by saying she represented Friends of Stratfield Brake and a short pause and the Triangle

You would hope that Rad Ox and the Ox Mail who have been very keen in the past to invite Ms McIvor onto the airways, letter and news pages, would want to interview her to ask about the grant application, it's withdrawal and the reaction of the residents of Kidlington and beyond to it. I won't hold my breath. I do wonder about that convenient problem with the phone lines on Wasn't at the game on Saturday.

What a absolute load of b*****ks

What are you suggesting there? It certainly passed me by.
They didn't take many phone calls. Then Jerome announced as they went to a call that there had been a problem with the lines. Listen back around 37.56 I am not of the opinion the local media has treated the club very fairly regarding the stadium, so I am suspicious of anything like this happening at a time when fans were all over the grant application and had already attempted to bring it up in the pre match.
The match coverage is excellent and I really like the dub.

I'm sure you will let Mags know it's not over just yet. 😉

“But so far, the club has shown itself to be an unreliable partner whose funding is at the mercy of its overseas owners. We remain deeply sceptical about the club’s community commitments and its interest in Stratfield Brake.”

On the basis of what evidence?

These people are a disgrace.

‘We made an unapologetic grab for public funds and we’d do it again’

It reeks of hatred of OUFC and nothing to do with ‘saving’ the Triangle.

Liars, hypocrites and charlatans, the lot of them. .

Quite amusing really.
They withdrew the loan application was due to pressure against them l, and they came out of this really badly to many in Kidlington.
If they try again many people in Kidlington will be angry and challenge KPC (and the legality of giving the grant).
They are a pretty unpleasant group of people. Anti progress and anti good things for the young people of the area.
From a perspective of this being illegal, they have not explained that at all. I would be amazed if it was illegal ( the mainquestion is if the minister calls it in due to being on green belt)
