I stand corrected
He's a winger not a striker

He's a winger and 32 years old.I stand corrected
Can play LW, ST and RW, a bit like Joseph and Harris. We are seeing the need for versatility in Manning's system constantly with all of his signings (accept Beadle of course). He's a winger not a striker

That would seem an odd one?
32 year-old journeyman, whose best (and only really good) goalscoring season was seven years ago.
He looks like a depth option at most.
Sign him & there will be movement out in the wingers department I think, wildschut being one & goodrham also if the offer is acceptable for us.Can play LW, ST and RW, a bit like Joseph and Harris. I think it was something else which was getting our former manager creaming last year unfortunately…
Enjoy your dinner, folks!
Loads of players contributing a handful is where its at.Welcome Mark, he comes with decent reviews, having played a fair bit in the Championship, a good age and occasional international so plenty of positives here.
Still feel we need another reliable goalscorer, at the moment there's no one I'd be confident saying will get double figures in the current squad, loads of players who will contribute a handful but no out and out goalscorers among the squad.
At last, someone with a more lateral approach to our transfer business from all those screaming on here for an ‘out and out striker’. Who knows what system or formation we’ll play? I don’t, but I trust this management team to sign the right players for the right system.Really curious to see what formation and style we're going to be playing.
We've now got a whole host of really exciting looking forwards - Harris, Rodriguez, Browne, Murphy, Goodrham, Bodin - but none of them seem suited to a traditional 'Hold the ball up, battle the CB, fox in the box"-type #9 role (only GOD - and I think we all agree that he ought to be headed out on loan to work on his finishing seasoning).
Either we're still looking to sign that player.......or we're going to be playing something a lot more fluid, with much quick and intricate passing and movement, a lot of balls down the channels and likely an incessant high press.
Put in this way - with our current squad make-up, I can't see any of our goal kicks travelling more than 10-15 yards, because we're not going to be doing much with anything lamped down the middle!

Marley Watkins is with New Era I think (same agency as Cam, Josh Murphy)..
Based on the various photo and video content that has been posted since pre-season started the current squad numbers appear to be:
The interesting thing is that a few players have had their numbers moved around, be it closer/further away from the 11. Goodrham now has 19 instead of 27 and Smyth has been wearing 14 rather than 25, while the likes of Findlay has had his number given to Thorniley and been handed 35. Obviously Baldock’s number 10 shirt has also been transferred to Bodin, which opens up 7.
- Beadle
- Long
- Thorniley
- Moore
- McEachran
- Brannagan
- Harris
- Bodin
- Browne
- Eastwood
- Smyth
- Stevens
- Brown
- Henry
- McGuane
- Goodrham
- Rodriguez
- McGinty
- Murphy
You can then cross reference the list against the white board that was visible in the McEachran signing video. Baldock and Seddon weren’t on the board at all, nor Yanic and Findlay, so it’ll be interesting to see if either of the latter two can be moved on. Clearly the first two already have been, but the club aren’t saying anything for some reason.
Dot counting has a rival. And it features snazzier anoraks.
