Might be a good investmentSeen Mo Eisa mentioned but don't know if that is only because of the MK dons link and think he still has a year on contract.

Smyth couldn’t secure a loan move to Newport last season even when going on trial there and struggled at Solihull. He came back and was one of our better players when he played. Not too keen on the arsenal lad. See he wasn’t starting towards the end of the season in the conference. If he can’t make the first 11 at that level he will surely struggle in league 1
As you say, been a very good servant, and generally a good shot stopper who last season bailed us out on several occasions. This said, the games changed and his ball control when it was passed back to him, and subsequent distribution was hurried and/or often poor. The latter putting pressure on the defence and midfield.I agree, and that's exactly what most people have been doing, discussing the pros and cons of Easty's position at the club, whilst being appreciative and respectful to someone who has been a great servant to our club.
But it's those who are constantly slating him as "s**t", and flatly refusing to acknowledge the major role he played in keeping us up last season, that really pickle my turnips.
You are being met with hostility (from regular, sensible posters) on this and other matters because there is the strong suspicion that you are not exactly what you are purporting to be. You have still not listed what you think the positives of the new stadium will be and how it will benefit the area in which it is planned to be built, but are happy to dream up scenarios that prove it is bad and that the club is somehow being economical with the truth - which gives the impression that you actually do not want the new stadium. You are also very abrasive towards other posters, almost as if the people on here are not people you really feel comfortable talking to ...That's all I meant. Not sure why it's been met with some frankly abusive responses.
I don’t know what happened exactly, but him not starting certainly wasn’t down to lack of quality. I think he fell out with the manager or something. Whenever he played he was one of their best players. Not too keen on the arsenal lad. See he wasn’t starting towards the end of the season in the conference. It would be interesting to see a Venn diagram of the people questioning Beadle’s age with those who don’t want to loan out Goodrham. Not drawing any conclusions or passing any judgement, but it’d be interesting.I think beadle is pretty young to be between the sticks for a promotion chasing side....on the OTHER HAND, if you are good enough you're old enough.

Completely different scenario tbh, there are plenty more opportunities from the bench , to be rested , or coming on as an impact player for generally attacking players especially where you can manage their playing time.It would be interesting to see a Venn diagram of the people questioning Beadle’s age with those who don’t want to loan out Goodrham. I’m getting really strong Lego vibes from himOf all the rumours going around Akinola is the one I’m probably the most interested in - mostly because he looks like what we’ve lacked in recent seasons in central midfield; that being genuine physicality and presence, likes a tackle - but combined with pace, athleticism and ability to drive forward.
All of the CM’s/CDM’s we’ve had during KR’s tenure have had some combination of those. But never all of them. Gorrin was defensive and liked a tackle, but never the most mobile, a little more lightweight with almost zero forward intent. I feel like I have to think back to Kashi for the last time we had some serious physical power in our central midfield.
Can accept that Akinola will be raw, untested at this level and would mostly likely come in and out of the team. But he really seems like he offers something different to the likes of Brannagan, McEachran, McGuane etc - and the kind of dynamic power we’ve been lacking in that area for years.
