I think it should be on. It will be off for the Queen's funeral next Saturday. I think sport should be on to pay tribute this weekend.
Seems like the funeral could be Monday 19th September. Would normally be 10 days following (Sunday 18th) but do the relative lateness of the official announcement yesterday, a few media outlets seem to be suggesting it will go to the Monday.I think it should be on. Swindon and Reading?I think two clubs throughout the whole of Great Britain are the problem, not hard to guess which two.
Liverpool and CelticSwindon and Reading?
Ah ok. I read next Saturday but i was wrong.Seems like the funeral could be Monday 19th September. Would normally be 10 days following (Sunday 18th) but do the relative lateness of the official announcement yesterday, a few media outlets seem to be suggesting it will go to the Monday.

I remember the minutes silence at the manor for Martin Aldridge, I think we were playing Blackpool who he also played for, I’ve never heard it so quiet it’s like the world stopped.Very much agree with this.
When a usually raucous football crowd goes silent to pay their respects then I think it’s a particularly respectful and special moment. Paying your respects with others rather than at home alone because everything has been cancelled seems the right thing to do.
I also think she came across as a woman who would want life to go on. She’ll be in people’s thoughts and I don’t expect there to be sport on the day of her funeral.
Right decision, in my view.Games cancelled this weekend.
Correct decision IMHO. I hope we'll get a chance to show pay our respects at the next home game.Game Off
It’s a game, I’m sure you’ll manage without it. Get over it for one weekend ffs.Very silly decision. Let people mourn if they want, and let others enjoy their weekend if they want to. Forced mourning does no one any favours.
