Just got back from that match. I know it was hot. Performance was poor. Our final ball let us down, also up front was lacking. Where are the goals going to come from?. Gave a sloppy goal away. 2nd half was shocking didn't really test their keeper apart from Henry's header. Lack luster all round, Browne was not threatening. We seem to get into good positions and then just chuck away the advantage. Bring on the subs did little to improve although Tyler put in a good fist of it. KR needs to sort this out now or we are in trouble this season

Why aren’t the wingers we’ve bought or acquired not doing the winger thingy? What about the striker situation?
Here’s one for you the best chance today fell to our James Henry in the striker role made for him from the wing by our striker?.
Sorry but going back to page one of the transfer thread won’t mean didly squat we knew back then what we needed and until a couple of weeks before the season started the problem didn’t seem to be addressed and now it is Amy Cranston has become very busy. Today our full backs were woeful so they need to be addressed and sorry but as much as I like Matty a 5’8!lone striker against two 6ft plus CB’s won’t work that often. Shame most can see that but those who should see that aren’t.

Those questions are being asked in the transfer thread. And James Henry has scored plenty of winners or key goals for us. Matty Taylor's performance has been discussed on here anyway.

To single out any players in that performance baffles me. It was the system that failed.

We're not getting the ball in advanced areas. We aren't getting any overloads or the ball in space in dangerous areas. Brannagan is too far away from goal. Wingers aren't getting any support.

I'm tempted to say that in an attempt to be safer at the back we've lost our mojo going forward. The eternal problem - the blanket isn't big enough to cover our feet and our shoulders. And I think, rather than KR ignoring or not seeing the problem that the oracles on here can see, it's him trying to fix these problems that has actually broken things.

Time to go back to what worked last season, even if it means being riskier at the back.

I thought Mcguane was the best player on the pitch, everyone else had a distinctly average game. The lack of creativity is a big concern, there seemed to be no plan on how we were going to score. We hit the bar from a corner and Henry should have scored with a header from 6 yards out but apart from that we didn’t get a sniff. I appreciate it was roasting hot today but we did look slow and I don’t think we won a single second ball in the second half. Was a very frustrating day.

And? What about so far this season, being asked in the transfer thread shows we all know what we need but do the recruitment team or KR

Agree with everything else, but I'm not sure this is the case. If it was he'd have signed a RB, LB and DM, but he shows a disdain for those positions, the full backs especially. The goal we conceded against Derby was exactly the type of goal we were shipping in last season too.

It can be argued that we're marginally stronger at the back (and I'd argue that has a lot to do with the signing of Findlay), but it seems like we've abandoned any sort of game plan, instead just passing it around the back and then hoofing it long. I don't see any identity or planning with this side, it just feels like Karl's naming an XI and telling them to go out and win.

Oh and the Rovers fans' behaviour was embarrassing. Hiding the ball and booting it out of the stadium when it went out of play. The tone having been set by the team rolling around holding their faces every time someone went near them. No doubt on the instructions of their manager.

In 20th after starting in 14th. Let’s hope this can be rectified starting tuesday

Henry’s header did not even test their keeper

I see Ipswich and Wednesday are already at the top, a few more performances like that from us and we won’t catch them.

Huge game Tuesday, to get out of this position. Four poor performances shouldnt become five, against another team we should be beating at home if we are to capitalise on the straight forward fixture opening we have.

What's miraculously changing on Tuesday?

It went over the bar. Keeper didn’t have to do anything.
