If we lose Brannagan I find it very hard to believe we could replace him with a player of equivalent quality with the transfer window running out. He simply must stay if we have any ambition this season. The only way we can keep him long term is promotion this season and a huge new contract offer for Championship football. It’s a gamble for Brannagan as he obviously has to avoid injury but a big season from him and he could go on a free for very good wages and a big signing on fee, he may fancy that gamble, essentially pocket the transfer fee himself.

Do you think they want to get a few more bigger deals announced to balance the crock signing talk out? Hence no announcement?
Agree LSBJones has been our standout player all preseason, so if he’s a crock, can we please sign a few more? [emoji28]
You only have to look at the reception he got from the Coventry fans, to realise that he’s a baller! I’m really backing the lad. I hope he smashes it.
The question is to @UTO is this the fella we are looking or hoping to sign and if so is he already in the building so to speak.

I wasn’t saying that myself, more that that is what the kips, mellows, leys boys will. Perhaps the club are happy to have him come in as a low key signing and keep expectations down.
I think Gorrin is quite a way off being able to start a game. Nothing ITK, but the fact that he has been barely seen over the summer suggests he has a way to go (maybe there's been a setback?).
I actually think Jones is a perfectly decent punt. Good player, relatively low risk. As long as supplemented with more "robust" players then I have no complaints.I wasn’t saying that myself, more that that is what the kips, mellows, leys boys will. Missed out on Morton, moved on to Bate. I think we viewed both as replacements for Cam who I can't see being here in September, unfortunately.
