It’s got a bit hysterical at times but when the season finishes on 30th April and we don’t make our first proper signing until 10 days before the next season starts dont you think the ‘panic’ you allude to is warranted ? By definition, panic then results in pent up anger and concern. For every Barcelona you mention there’s an Ipswich Town, it hasn’t gone to plan and just because we’ve made our first signing now it shouldn’t paper over the fact that this window remains one that we have operated poorly in.

I would imagine that all supporters have been concerned and a little worried at times.
Some of the comments and constant digs have , in my view been OTT and quite unpleasant at times.
It was always pretty likely that there would eventually be some quality signings. Findlay looks to be an excellent signing at this level and hopefully there will be 4 to 6 more coming in soon

Not many centre backs partnerships of that quality in this league, if any.

See when good things happen, I am positive

Just need build round that partnership now
New Goalkeeper coming is a big
Just need 2 decent Fullbacks to replace Long & Seddon if we want to improve
Then bring in an upgrade on Gorrin in DCM then that sorts out a lot of our problems in defence

He does indeed look a quality signing and one of the main things with him is that we go into a new season, for the first time in a while at centre back, with a permanent pairing and both with some good experience. Don’t get me wrong, Atkinson and McNally were great for us but we couldn’t be too sure what we were getting at the outset, Moore and Findlay may not boast the potential of an Atkinson, McNally or Dickie but will likely outdo them on reliability, solidity and longevity.

With those contracts they could even be the centre back pairing in our opening match at Stratfield Brake !!!!

I thought MM looked quality in that position last night. It was only a friendly though and with his quite laid back style I do wonder how he’d fair in the rough and tumble of league 1 game when he’s under more pressure. Very promising though!

Possibly the full back we’re now in for.

From the rumours, sounds like a left back. Any chance we might get an upgrade at right back. Brown, Seddon and backup from Findlay is not too bad at left back. But Long and Forde is just not good enough.

Knowing KR by now it’s set up to fail then:

1st Brannagan did ok but was wasted in that position
2nd Kane playmaker who’s form fell off a cliff since that sending off at Lincoln away & made very costly errors (several times) due to not bringing in another DCM for Gorrin’s long term injury which cost us a playoff place
3rd McGuane throw of the dice again but we all know it will cost us when it really matters

He is when fully fit and on top form, but he just doesn’t seem to be able to stay fit nowadays does he? I think the option to play somebody ad good or possibly better is exactly what we need. Personally I’d like any new full back to have proper pace, our team is still very one paced I’d believe.

He was picked as possible weakness then was player of the season

Last season was stop start with injuries

One of those players that because is not in the flair category always gets under rated, rather like Gorrin.
