Wait until the signings it sounds we have coming in. They may become envious of us. Wimbledon away certainly now has a different impetus to now.

Very true......most of just don't know either way which is why it made sense to wait and not repeatedly throw toys out of the pram if things didn't happen as quickly as we'd like. Seems a lot less effort to wait and see what happens when it's not in our control!
Findlay is a great signing, looking forward to more.
 
I see wilf Zaha didn’t go on the palace tour, I think that might be the “he’s world class why does that stop me getting my player” comment

The key word was 'sometimes'. In an ideal world we would of course have signed all of our top targets early in the window, but it rarely goes like that. Even for Barcelona who have taken an age to sign their top target. It is frustrating as hell for us fans of course, nobody is happy with the way it's gone so far, but the amount of panic and angry shouting we've had this summer has been over the top.

It has been a very loud minority.
Agree it has been totally OTT.
2 to 3 people saying the same thing time and time and time again.
Fair play to you to have to constantly read some of the negative comments

Is it possible for the mods to implement a yellow and red card system on here? Some of the sniping and snarling on here has been unpleasant and not healthy.

I personally dont mind anybody putting their point across and obviously it can get passionate - we all care about our club - but some of the insults that have been tossed about have gone too far on all sides.

It’s got a bit hysterical at times but when the season finishes on 30th April and we don’t make our first proper signing until 10 days before the next season starts dont you think the ‘panic’ you allude to is warranted ? By definition, panic then results in pent up anger and concern. For every Barcelona you mention there’s an Ipswich Town, it hasn’t gone to plan and just because we’ve made our first signing now it shouldn’t paper over the fact that this window remains one that we have operated poorly in.
 
Mods read EVERY post. Sometimes it's not very pleasant but it goes with the function. But lately it has cost us a lot of our time.
Hopefully things will calm down now that we can see recruitment progress.

ps Must confess I don't read every post in the "Word association" thread.
