I imagine them as the neighbourhood watch committee in Hot Fuzz!
It’s the village rozzers who I’m most worried about.

I do love the idea of Kidlington Parish Council deciding on an eight to nine figure planning application.
“You have no authority here, Mr
CLUBS could have to pay more to use a popular Kidlington sports ground under plans to bring in a private firm to run pitches and other facilities.
Kidlington Parish Council is considering getting a private firm to run Stratfield Brake in Frieze Way to help save funds.

So who are the owners? If Kidlington run it on their behalf as Cherwell lease the land it’s inevitably going to come down to who owns the land and that’s not OCC.Cherwell district council lease the land they don't own it, Kidlington run it on their behalf but have no control on planning applications or change of ownership.

That says different
That will depend on the deal that has been agreed with all the parties. There is potentially so much profit and benefits to various parties. We will wait and see the contents of the agreement(s).From what I’ve read the woodland trust have all the land adjacent to Stratfield brake but Kidlington council seem to have the pulling power no mention of a lease to anyone so still comes under Cherwell district council.

But OCC don’t own itDoesn't mean Kidlington parish own it, it means there running the place on behalf of cherwell District council who are below oxfordshire County Council.
But OCC don’t own it
And what idiot signed that lease? Was he wearing any socks? This forum in 246 years’ time:
“Fuuuuck, the lease is going to run out in four years. When is the new takeover going to be announced?!”
Maybe just wait and see what comes out in the next few days/weeks.But OCC don’t own it
I expect there will be some kind of resolution within the next month, don’t think the club want to mess around with it from what they have said to OCC, think OCC are supportive of the application in so much as it will reduce traffic through to city & public transport links would be so much better and the stadium would be eco friendly anywayMaybe just wait and see what comes out in the next few days/weeks.
News on the stadium, they have submitted an application to OCC. Stratfield Brake, 18,000 seater stadium with amenities and commercial shops & community and leisure sports facilities

The club have been speaking with various officials for some time to get their support so I have no doubt that there will be tangible progress soon.I expect there will be some kind of resolution within the next month, don’t think the club want to mess around with it from what they have said to OCC, think OCC are supportive of the application in so much as it will reduce traffic through to city & public transport links would be so much better and the stadium would be eco friendly anyway
Commercial usage, retail, hotel, leisure etc.How do bakrie and co make any money on it though? Not like they can build flats etc around the ground.
Renting out the amenities outside the ground, it will have commercial premises & facilitiesHow do bakrie and co make any money on it though? Not like they can build flats etc around the ground.

From what I’ve read, OUFC will provide sports facilities for all sports clubs that they would take their land off of so yes, the way I read that is that they will replace the facilities to a comparable standardSo is the cricket pitch, football fields at the back all part of the deal?
