270 minutes + against Blackpool and we haven’t scored against them. As mentioned in this thread, they’re a resolute outfit. They managed that game superbly and were fabulously clinical. I’m very impressed by them.

That was a let down. It was obvious we were the junior partner of the two teams but I expected more from us. A bit more spark and more ideas. The belief looked drained from us from the 70th minute onwards. Sam Winnall going off was a final insult.

Still, it’s not totally over. 90 more minutes to go and at the very least give Blackpool a game. A 1-0 win would feel like a moral victory of sorts.

You do wonder whether the game would have been different had Sam Long been involved ...

I can’t wait for Friday when we go to Blackpool and win 3-0 then win on penalties start with our most attacking team I mean we may aswel lose the tie 5,6,7 than go up there and try and stop them scoring just f*****g attack

Can I have some of what you are on - can you seriously see us score even one against them - they have the beating of us all over the pitch

Blackpool are a decent side. They turned up and took their chances. Sykes failing to score when clean through was our chance of a foothold.

Turning this one round would even eclipse the comeback against Ipswich in the 85/86 season.

Snuck into the playoffs at the death, came up against a really good Blackpool team. We weren't as bad as the score reflected, we had chances, Henry and Sykes in particular, and didn't take them, but you have to give credit to Blackpool because they are a very good side and on the day they turned up and showed us why they finished where they did. I'm less upset losing 3-0 to Pool than I was losing to Wycombe because it's clear to see they are just better than we are. I'll tune in on Friday, cheer us on, and hopefully we can at least keep things interesting till the end of the 90.

Absolute and complete and utter shite and showed tonight just how far we are from Championship candidates. Our record against the top 6 did indicate that.

Blackpool were very decent. We were very poor.

Huge credit for making the playoffs. Yet again, when the pressure is truly on, this group have crumbled.

Clearly Henry's kid hates him as he was bobbins this evening.

Just a massive shame. All credit to Blackpool as are clearly extremely well managed. Can see him going far as the squad (minus the Prem loanees and Garbutt who has a sweet left peg) isn't great on paper.

Just managed the game so well. Two up really stopped us playing out from the back and we all know from Robinson's reign our plan B isn't really up to much.

We've still got a chance, but realistically we'll be playing League One next year.

Had a job done on us. Really only had one chance (Sykes) and the keeper made a great save.

Yeah it's a long shot. But why give up? COYY.

But ignoring the occasions where they haven't crumbled. Because you went to the park and missed the comeback?
