Yes, they could do this which is why there is important work going on re the stadium and this includes a close relationship with our local political leaders.

This is obvs the key point, and I'm pretty optimistic about the whole thing for reasons I won't be posting.

However my point above is that we don't have any view on the beneficial owners of the Singapore entity that owns the vast majority of the UK company. That's not a complaint in this specific case (although opaque offshore ownership is dangerous to the UK polity in general), it's just saying how it really is.

I don't know the details of what's happening now or who's involved. It's interesting that Zaki Nusbadeih (sp) is less visible though......

He runs an investment firm called Aeon Investments which, amongst other ventures, deals in real estate. He co founded this in 2019. He is still listed as a trustee of Oxford United in the community.
Also noteworthy, he still 'follows' the directors of OUFC on Linked In. He also maintains connections to his former college, St.Hugh's Oxford.
