I think DE admits he made a mistake by going "off piste" and trying another recruitment and business model. Mistakes made. Lessons learned. End of. "We go again" AKA Mr Chris Wilder.

Let's cut to the chase...
1. Pekalski is obviously not up to L1 or KR would pick him. He would at least be in the squad
2. Whatever budget Pep had, it was a budget that allowed him to buy players for a fee
3. Pep wasted that money on Eurotrash second raters, only one of whom (Ricardinho) was up to L1 standard. Two of whom (Xemi, Tiandelli) were among the worst we have seen in the last ten years.
Fair enough or does Pep's agent want to have another go at defending the pile of dross his client lumbered OUFC with?!

I remember DE and MApp making it clear that the model of buying British players was compromised due to cost and OUFC will be looking to find value with European/Scandi players with experience.
