I’m not just talking about ‘chest feeding’ - I’m talking about the other societal and cultural changes that are being forced upon us. All of this ‘inclusive’ lefty rubbish is pushing our society to a place that I don’t believe we should be heading towards. You cannot let the minority rule the majority. That’s what is happening. It’s far bigger than this one specific example.

It's not about "i" it's about "we". And I bring up my earlier post about the suffragettes. Where would womans place be in society if they did not fight for their equal place in society ?

Scientifically speaking, Is that female to male transgender a male? No. No amount of gender realignment surgery will change the fact that biologically, she is still female. Based on that, it would never happen.

Ergo they deserve equality and should not be treated differently because of their born gender.
Born gender - male or female - which is how the majority of the human population live their life.

That doesn`t stop people choosing to identify differently, fair play to them carry on. However those people are in an incredibly small minority and should be able to go about their lives as they wish without fear or favour but their choice doesn`t make it a subject worthy of promotion or legislation that impacts the majority.

I would hazard a guess that the document took in excess of 6 months to create and filter through the various committee`s and endless meetings.
A great cost to achieve what exactly? Nothing, absolutely nothing.
I`ll tell you what will happen next as well.... it will now spread into other Trust`s, other public sectors and Councils.
More meetings, more policy changes, more cost.
It is exactly the thought that "its a few words in a guideline" that lets this pointless roll out across organisations.
Then it will become someone`s "right" and woe betide anyone who slips up because there will be a leeching lawyer just waiting to defend that "right".

It should be culled right now. Someone needs to step in and say No, enough.
By all means choose your words to suit the audience ...... but it isn`t policy.

That’s due to medical reasons. Valid point, but it’s not quite the same. Anatomically, no men are able to breast feed. To suggest otherwise, flies in the face of all scientific and medical reasoning.

That’s due to medical reasons. Valid point, but it’s not quite the same. Anatomically, no men are able to breast feed. It flies in the face of all scientific reason, to suggest otherwise.

I'm not. Forgive me if I've missed the reasoning for this, but the move was to make it more inclusive, was it not? If that's the case, why not simply call it 'feeding'? Men can't breastfeed, nobody can chestfeed though can they?

I've no problem at all with the evolution of language, it's just this example seems odd to me.

No, but then not all women can do that.

1. We all should know that. However Men can not produce milk in sufficient quantities to feed a child, although they can lactate in exceptional circumstances.
2. Covered that already - bottle feeding prejudice will be the core topic of the next meeting.

Is it actually a particular group people having lefty meetings to decide these things, or is it (most likely) the media jumping on one person’s opinion to create a storm in a tea cup. Anger and outrage sells very well.
That’s how these things get themselves into the public domain, helped a long by yours and many others strong feelings on the matter.
If we didn’t buy into the right wing press, none of this stuff would ever surface.
