Transfer News Transfer window 2020/21

I wonder if this may be a case if we needed to move someone out so we could bring someone in due to the squad size limit , I doubt Robo would have let him go as first choice out but maybe we couldn’t get any takes for other players

With space created by Cooper, Mous and now Clare there are three spaces to fill ....
 
I think this very odd and I'm a bit disappointed - he'd shown some really positive signs once Robinson had realised he wasn't a right back. He also seems to have the sort of genuine gas we lack - Shodipo is touted as being quick and I'm not sure we've really seen that. As Oxfordboy says, we're still left with Hall who doesn't seem to have much to offer at all.
 
That's a very strange loan IMO. Granted, Clare wasn't any good at right back - and I think from reports before he signed it was obvious that was a gamble - but (when KR has actually played him) further forward he has played pretty well and made at least two goal scoring passes/crosses that I can think of. I would have liked to have seen more of him there.
 
Bit random. I know Forde can play there but if anything happens to Sam Long we are in the crap for the immediate future. Same league as well. Let's see who comes in now and whether Clare impresses playing every week. Hopefully at right wing.

Does seem odd on the face of it, but the main (and rather important) difference between him and Shodipo is end product...although Shods has had arguably more opportunity to produce!

Squad numbers are tight and difficult decisions will be needed. We must have someone we simply could not refuse lined up.....(he says, fingers crossed!)
 
A right sided player HAS to be coming in, if Clare has gone out on loan!? Cadden or Whyte. Interesting week ahead, I feel..

Very strange this one (especially as Hall is still with us).

Shodipo definitely had many more minutes than Clare (as an attacking player). Clare played well in pretty much all the appearances he made when used in his correct position, and looked to be the quickest and most direct player we had, and also made a difference when he came on as a sub with a few assists. It seemed that the better he played in a forward position the fewer minutes KR gave him.

Cadden is RB (or wing back), Clare as we all know (KR?) is a right sided forward.

KR obviously still sees him as RB eventually, going by this quote, "but things didn’t quite click for him as a right back, short-term".

I’m unsure who else we have been linked with, when it comes to right sided players. I’ve seen Gavin Whyte mentioned a lot but nothing from actual sources. Holland is LW. Interesting.
 
Let's be fair, most were crying out to get rid of Clare when he was playing right back, and although he's done much better further forward, you'd like to think that there are better out and out right wingers available.

Hopefully we'll see the whole window before we judge too much, but Whyte or Cadden coming in might just cheer up the likes of Kip for a day or two!!!
