Matches Hull ticket details announced

Or, perhaps, someone who has followed the club for many years, including standing in the London Road, travelled up and down the country to attend games and spent a fair share on club merchandise. We also "donated" the offered refund for last season and still paid out £1150 for two 1893 club tickets for this season knowing full well that we were unlikely to see a game in person. (that price would have increased to include access to the bars and lounge)
I am not, nor have I, demanded that we be sat in our normal seats, yes, we would prefer but are prepared to sit elsewhere. However, simply voicing concerns at the wording of this announcement and pointing out how it could be possible for season ticket holders to be sat in, at the very least, their chosen stand, does not make me a "bit of a spoilt child".

Further, this notion that it is amusing to label all SSU support as "prawn sandwich" munching octogenarians who sit on their hands and never, ever raise their voices in support is just nonsensical. Anyone who has sat in the SSU can attest to that. It happens to be where a lot of folk who need to sit down during the game can still find space to attend games. It's where many intelligent conversations about the game take place, it's where guests of the club are seated, it's where many supporters who have followed the club for more years than some have been on this earth sit.
If that is what you meant by "with respect" thank you.
No one’s doubting your support of the club, or anyone else in SSU, but don’t forget there are equally committed, passionate and articulate fans throughout the ground. Using words such as ‘farce’ ‘insulting’ and ‘outrageous’ isn’t simply ‘voicing concerns’.
Whilst I admire your passion, what you’re asking just might not be reasonable in the circumstances, surely you can see that.

Well I am looking forward to it if no one else is, least it should be easy to get a ticket at 10 am tomorrow with all the miserable fuckers about.

Not been for 8 months, I can live with losing a nugget, plus I will just charge the people I am going with a quid each postage and package and be £2 quid up.

Lol , results all round here .

Bit confused as to the offence taken to them calling it a "free" ticket. How else are they supposed to communicate that there is no charge for it?

£1 to cover postage costs is a bizarre thing to complain about.

No ones being forced to go.

'No extra charge?' People are a bit down on the club after yesterday I guess.

Too right it's a shambles. I might end up sitting close to Manorlounger FFS!!

Only joking. Really!

Since this came out we have been slinging mud at each other, myself included, so i hold my hands up to that. Does it really matter how much we paid for our tickets or where we sit or indeed how long we have supported the club, we are all supporters of Oxford United. I think now we should give it a rest and wait and see what happens with the next few home matches not just Saturday, i am sorry to say that i wouldnt be surprised if we are looking at next season before anything changes, so we have to stick together and give the club a chance to get it sorted, frustrating that it is.

Fear not, the moaners on here Facebook and Twitter can continue to vent their spleens, I will focus my attention at 1000am tomorrow on securing a ticket and looking forward to chatting to fellow supporters in person again.

This 'framework' is disgraceful. OK, I live in a Tier 3 area and I'm not a season ticket holder anyway, but I DEMAND that I be allowed to attend, and pay at the gate for a seat of my choosing.
Hear, hear! And because I'm so taken with your statement, come and sit next to us.

Ah, hang on, tier 3, you say? oops!

So have we established whether the social bubble mentioned by the club is the government defined social bubble or what was outlined from the survey?

Welcome any time. You do have a wash on a regular basis, don't you? And, sadly, it looks as though you may have to bring your own biscuits. I might persuade Mrs Lounger to cook another batch of scones in which case you are welcome to share - clotted cream and jam?

What a load of whining! If you aren’t excited at seeing football after so long, and against the leaders, there’s no hope for you. Ooh, one of the full backs might make a mistake! I’m going to cry!

E mail the club?

I really can’t see why the club would be stricter than government guidelines though.

Brave use of the word might given our defending this season, but I can’t wait to at least be able to shout/whisper/sign (whatever the bloody rules are) my frustration at our kamikaze defending in person rather than at a screen 50 miles away.

Via twitter, as quoted on here, the club have sought to clarify the "free" reference as being an indication that there was no charge for the tickets. So, in essence @Pillox , you have answered yourself. However, the club could have phrased that better. As in "naturally, for season ticket holders there will be no charge for the tickets"

It may be that some on here are thinking storm in a tea cup but I was expecting better from the club. This is an important trial to test the clubs ability to adhere to government policy and to safeguard supporters and employees of the club alike. I would have expected the seriousness of this to have been reflected in a clear and informative announcement.
The £1 postage is odd, what happened to the E-ticketing and print at home facilities? Surely a more cost effective, environmentally friendly and safer way to deliver the tickets?
End of the day, good news, at last. We might get to see some live footy! This household is very excited about that.

As a SSU season ticket holder I think you will find we are as unreasonable as every other part of the ground.
Personally they can seat me anywhere in the ground.
Just a polite question but if I'm placed in the away section do I have to support the away team!!

I think the club are right to charge for postage. Some of our fanbase, as soon as the word FREE appears, will take anything and everything, even if they have no intention of going to the game. Free hot dog? yes I'll take one, take one bite and throw it away. Free face mask, yes please. Free flag to wave pre-match, yes please and then throw it on the floor five minutes later.

But charge them a £1 and they'll think twice.

As to why it's taken this long to come up with a plan, the guidelines and government recommendations / rules are evolving and changing compared to where we were for the last planned trial game.
