It would not take much work for the seats to be allocated pro rata. If you have 50% of season ticket holders in the South stand, 30% East and 20% North, (purely for the sake of example) then the tickets would be allocated on the same percentages. If no South stand season ticket holders applied then those seats could be further allocated to the East and North stand holders until the pro-rata allocations were filled. Its not a farce, the club are doing their best. Postage is a quid to cover costs which is fair enough after my month's if very little income.
As for sitting anywhere, imagine if 800 South Stand ST holders got tickets and they'd sat them all in the South Stand despite there being thousands of empty seats around the ground? You'd be moaning people could have been distanced better! There's no bad view in the ground and the lounges won't be open so it won't be a worse experience for you.
There were always going to be moaners wherever the club did, they're doing their best despite the situation.
As for being a moaner, I would put it that I am merely reacting to the poorly worded announcement. Telling me that I can apply for a "free" ticket to a match when I already have a ticket (or more correctly have paid for a ticket) is not quite the best use of language.
We, Mrs Lounger and I, happen to like the view of the games from our chosen seats and would prefer to be in those seats, should that not be possible, so be it but, that is not clear from the wording of the announcement. Are we to take it that we could be sat anywhere in the ground?
