I'd agree with that, mid table/lower mid table. But it comes to something when fans are accepting mid table as an end of season finish, with the current squad, when we were play off finalists last season.

I don't know how anyone can predict any final places this season. There are simply too many variables that go beyond normal footballing standards. We've seen ourselves a stop-start approach which kills any momentum, and then there are blocks of several games in a few weeks. Players and staff will get ill or have to isolate. Squads and utility players will become more important than a couple of star players, teams will play youth players more or experienced players out of position.

There's little to take from these first 4/5 games. Some will see this as our annual early season blip before going on a charge up the table. Others will worry that league 2 is beckoning. But anything can happen, and whilst I hate seeing us lose, I simply want to see us come through this with the club and all associated with it safe and well.

This season will end up null and void with lockdowns being muted. It’s a shame but to many idiots out there not helping matters and that’s applies to the footballers as well.

I’m glad we didn’t go up last season, we would have spent more money upgrading the squad and by now been deeper in the s**t. I can’t see the season finishing with the upsurge in cases and having regional lockdowns can’t see teams travelling to hotspots.

Or we would have invested sustainably and had a go at competing, or worst case scenario invested little more than we have done currently, with the sole aim of pocketing millions in additional revenue simply for being there, thus securing the club’s future without having to kick a ball.

Not sure the club’s owners and investors will be as happy about losing at Wembley as you seem to be, to be totally honest.
