Transfer News Transfer window 2020/21

I know the transfer window 'slams shut' ( ) for the Prem today.

Is that the same for us or not? And is the loan window for us is open for a little while after that final date, or do they finish on the same day (as they did last year IIRC)?
International window closes today. So English/British teams (not sure which) can no longer sign players from overseas. The domestic window, which is realistically much more relevant to us and teams at our level, is open for another two weeks I think.

But it is relevant for us because the clubs higher up, who we might be looking to get loans in from, will probably be finalising their squads and deciding which players are expendable or would benefit from a loan spell at a club lower down the pyramid.

"The window for international registrations closes at 11pm on Monday 5 October, with an agreement in place with the Premier League for an extended two-week domestic only window which will close at 5pm on Friday 16 October. "

Yup, although this is being touted as 'Deadline Day' today for league one and league two sides the next couple of weeks after today will have much more interest. I wouldn't expect much at all from clubs in our division today.

Just to add - Prem teams will also not be able to do deals with each other after today as well.

The only deals allowed after today (upto 16th) will be those between EFL clubs and those between a Prem club and an EFL club.

This week was always likely to be the busy week. The international deadline day means that PL and some Championship sides will finalise their squads, freeing up loanees and possible permanent deals. I believe that two defenders (1 established, 1 PL youngster) have been identified, and at least 3 for the wide left role. I doubt any will be in before the Bristol game, but the end of the week is realistic.
Ahem!
We may sign, one, two or three players, at least one, probably two and maybe a third next week or at least by the end of the transfer window. Really hard work ITK stuff.

I've also heard that a number of players might or might not be in talks with the club either in the recent past, today or in the near future. If what I've heard is correct, we might be seeing anywhere between zero and an unlimited number of loan or permanent signings in either of:

1. Some, or all of the positions you think need to be filled; and/or
2. Some, or all of the positions for which you believe we currently have adequate cover.

I can say with certainty that these players, if they do come will have either a strong left or right footed bias, or in the alternative they will be good or possibly poor with both feet.

Watch this space and let me be the first to assure you that regardless of who signs, I was aware of that player many weeks ago but thought it distasteful to mention him at the time.

Given you obviously enjoy a very close relationship with someone at the core of our recruitment team, I have to say I think it's very unfair that you're betraying their confidence like this.

Rubbish. There’s no way we’re getting an unlimited number of signings. I’ve heard from a very good source that it’s way less than that.

I find it odd that Browne isn't being given a chance at Middlesbrough. Seems they've gone for proven players to get results. Wouldn't put it past another Championship club wanting him, perhaps Luton or Barnsley.

Or even Wycombe..

You heard it here first!

That would be the ultimate kick in the teeth!

I can imagine Browne paying his taxi fare all the way to west Bucks himself...:ROFLMAO:

Why, if he could only get two shots on goal before Chrimble, he'd be a shoe-in for the club's player of the season award!

You are the most ITK. Please take off my pants and make love to me.

But his morale would be through the floor. Imagine not being in a winning team all season.
Mind you if he did lower himself by going to the rat hole he maybe top goals scorer but then again he may e their only goal scorer, plus the fact he won’t develop going their
