Also, I hope* we have worked on set pieces as they seem to be having an impact on quite a few of the games I've seen.

*I'd be surprised if we haven't considering the training time available.

After the success of corners and set piece routines by England at the last WC, I was surprised that we didn't see more routines in the domestic game. It would be good to shake things up a bit, although I'd happily see Browne to Ruffels at the far post a thousands times again!!

On a normal Saturday, they also cover the Oxfordshire non-league sides, Brackley (never understood why) and national sport. We will probably get the same amount of coverage given that we are all they will be discussing
Yes, I've often wondered why Brackley. The only explanation I can offer is that it's in the BBC South broadcast region. In practice though you would think it should be in BBC Northampton's fiefdom.

From memory it's something to do with a proportion of their support comes from within Oxon

Maybe the reason is its just outside Oxfordshire and is also closer to Oxford than it is Northampton. Do bbc Northamptonshire even cover their games I wonder?

in the same way that man ure are always on bbc cos majority of supporters come from outside Manchester

Still worried despite our game against each other at the Ka$$am. We haven’t had as many proper competitive games in the build-up as Portsmouth.
I can’t think that playing against players you already train day to day with is as good as proper opposition but anything is better than nothing. The lack of proper game time could come home to roost as regards match sharpness. Still, it is what it is I suppose.

Wonder how many warm up games WW and Fleetwood have managed

How about a (possible) first XI vs reserves in a final 11vs11 training game at the Kassam to prepare for the first leg?

Eastwood
Long Dickie Moore Ruffels
Gorrin
Brannigan Woodburn
Henry Taylor Browne

Sykes Mackie Agyei
Kelly Hanson
Thorne
Berkoe Mousinho Atkinson Forde
Stevens

Looks great first 11 but I would swap Woodburn for Sykes. I thought Sykes was one of our best players at the end and would hit the ground running quicker than Woodburn.

We do seem to have a good fitness coach in Chris Short though so it will also depend on the work that the respective teams have been doing during lockdown etc... but we shall see

Yeah but didn't Woodburn score a good volley against Reading and nearly got another apparently as well? If fit he's full of ability...

I think the trick here will be the opportunity to play 5 subs during the game plus a further if the game goes into extra time.

Just read that the Sky broadcast is going to include "crowd noise" for our games.

Wait haven’t we had two just like they did?
