Anyone else have a sneaky suspicion that the PM will rush through easing of some of the lockdown rules ahead of schedule to deflect attention away?
This posting hasn't aged well. ?No-one cares except for all the lefties frothing at the mouth at any excuse.
If Cummings had a house party with 10 people outside of his household whilst his sick wife was serving canapes then I'd be a bit more concerned.
It could be worse.....................................................................This posting hasn't aged well. ?
Right wing enough for you?

What specifically do you think would be worse than having the highest death toll from Covid in Europe, with the chief advisor mocking the policy he was responsible for implementing ?It could be worse.....................................................................
We could be run by a labour government!! I shudder to think what it would be like.
So a better of 2 evils I suppose.
Sir David Spiegelhalter, an influential British statistician, has revised down his estimates of the proportion of people dying from Covid-19 who would have died in the coming year anyway, suggesting that figure is probably somewhere between 5 and 15 per cent.
This flies in the face of one of the key argumentsof the “lockdown sceptics”: that the virus is mainly killing off those that were on their way out anyway.
Until now, many people on both sides of the debate have agreed with this assessment (though they have disagreed on what the appropriate response should therefore be). Even Imperial’s Neil Ferguson himself, who has been dubbed“Professor Lockdown” by the tabloids, told usback in early April that: “from our crude analysis, it’s plausible that of the order of two-thirds of the people that have died so far might have died in this year anyhow” (a comment that was jumped on by many sceptics on Twitter).

That number whilst horrifyingly high is only as low as it is because of the fantastic commitment to lockdown by the British people Of the big cost emotionally they’ve missed out on going to funerals connecting with family giving up holidays.
There’s been Some amazing stories by posters on here- I found the lengths @Scotchegg has to go too to keep his family safe very moving even though there is very little we agree on (on this topic anyway)
And now Cummings and Johnson have torn that to shreds. I can’t see how that might be worse under labour
We might have free broadband, I suppose.
Keeping it on the political wind up theme...I would guess the great unwashed would indeed stomach it if Bojo and Cummings convinced their chums in the right wing press to portray it as the most British and patriotic thing you could do to save yourselves and our glorious nation.Actually the politics side was a wind up as can see quite a few posters on here are quite passionate about their left/right tendancies.
I feel the numbers are horrendous mainly down to the population and their characteristics.
I feel there would have been as much, if not uproar if very early in Feb/early March if the UK government had instigated a full lockdown, subject all incoming people to a 14 day quarantine period at a "camp" or somewhere. If the Police and Army had been deployed with checkpoints everywhere, only 1 person per household physically allowed out once a week to buy groceries, thats all. I dont the UK and people could have done that (and the papers I am sure would have had a field day)
Indeed. I am surprised just how angry people are. Hence why I asked how “well behaved” posters on here are.
Perhaps I was never going to get somebody owning up to a blatant breaking the rules. But I was expecting a few visits to family dressed up as “essentiall”

Not sure how long you've been away chap? But the vast majority of Albion are making sacrifices in their day-to-day lives to meet the demands imposed in typical stoic manner, balancing a stiff upper lip with our legendary sense of humour.
Opinion polls and Police reports show no evidence of widespread unrest - so I don't think you can logically say we couldn't of handled more, at an earlier stage? Sadly, now that our "leaders" have so publicly taken the P**s out of the nation, the whole thing could of course crumble.
That is a pretty pathetic post. I guess you’re been away too long. Not sure why you want to politicise it like thatIt could be worse.....................................................................

Bit of a difference between a poster on here breaking the rules and Cummings doing it though isn’t there?
