Good news if true, and ECYellow’s posting record shows he’s genuinely ITK, therefore positive stuff.

I actually think a loan is ok, as others have said the only other team he can play for this season is Bristol City, so that rules out competition from other clubs in January.

He’s 30 years old in March, not old! but not an age where a League 1 club like ourselves can perhaps justify a hefty transfer fee, especially when there may be a chance to sign him at the end of the season on a free transfer?

Paying fees for younger players with sell-on potential is the proven policy in recent times.

Anyway if he is on that sort of money you can see why a deal would be a long old drawn out affair. That balance between City not losing too much, us not paying too much and the player wanting to earn as much as possible! Nightmare. If Taylor is the man we go for I would not be surprised if it isn’t until the end of the window.

Agree that it could have been £14k incl. bonuses etc, thinking back I’m sure there was a goal bonus involved. Was a reliable source though in Billy Boden.

I know it’s different in football but none of us would leave one job for anontyer taking a 50% + wage decrease so he’s going to have to be severely compensated in some way.

I heard it was £8k a week. Really no one really knows do they.
 
I would’ve thought any announcement will be delayed until this afternoon so that he can concentrate on a full training session this morning. He’ll probably go straight into the starting line-up so needs as many minutes with his new teammates as possible. The announcement will include photos and interviews etc.
