Blimey. Doesn’t look like there’s going to be a truce between the two sides any time soon ? Are we a big enough club to have a permanently divided fanbase?

Jesus Christ, who the f**k are you? We’ve already got enough people strutting around on here with their username initials printed on the chest of their store bought replica training tops. You can’t moan about moaners and wet the bed about bed wetters, and then have a go at them. Presumably you lack the intelligence to understand the irony of your behaviour.

If you think anybody here wants the club to fail, there’s nobody stupider than you. People who spend thousands of pounds per year following the team home and away, and who deeply care for the club and have done for decades in many cases, don’t weep over success. They don’t cry when we win, they don’t get angry when we sign quality players - success doesn’t hurt them or make them feel bad. I know you THINK they do, and that it does, but that only shows yet again how stupid you are. People have different opinions, they agree and disagree, and everybody is right and wrong on different occasions. That’s called life, chum.

If you’re really that worried about people not yanking their plank over the club 24/7 that you have to call them names and feel like you’re somehow winning every time things are going okay, it sounds like you’re the one with issues they need to deal with, and maybe it’s the likes of you who shouldn’t be welcome in places like this. It looks from here like this all means a little bit too much to you, and I’m not sure you have the intellectual capacity to understand that people can care and want the best for something without behaving exactly the same way. Presumably you think that parents feel terrible when their children succeed when they disagree with something they’re doing, and that they can’t possibly love them if they think they’re making a mistake and dare to tell them as much.

I think the moaners and bed wetters are fine, mon amie. Doesn’t sound like you are, though. Hope you get that sorted. Life is much brighter when you don’t take things so seriously, and when you worry about enjoying the good times for yourself, rather than trying to figure out a way that you can use them to try to make other people feel bad. That isn’t the behaviour of a stable or mature, intelligent human being.

Good luck.
I agree with the original post to a great extent. An example here but it does show just how many muppets we have supporting. Whenever Ox Mail publishes an article on something that KR has said, no matter what it is, or how intellectual it is, you get a clutch of users that feel obliged to have a pop at him. Ridiculous and it goes beyond having an opinion, it is almost like they have a duty to talk negative sh*te.

I read the article and as soon as I see a few comments, I know there are going to be pillocks with an agenda.

The thing is, these are the sort of people who in some warped way think they know everything and that the owners/management are bad news for us, like we have another Mike Ashley. Reality is they know nothing but are contributing to making those people think twice about their investment in OUFC. Without giving them a chance, they could be pushing away the best owners we have ever had.

If they are not moving us forward in years to come then we will all be on the attack, but most with half a brain cell can see that we are a lot healthier off the pitch than.....well possibly ever.

I'm dreading the arguments that will erupt on here at the end of the season debating the proposed route for the open top bus parade.... ?
Well if you’re setting off from the training ground you probably turn left out the gate and then take a right onto the bypass, go straight through the traffic lights and head up to Headington roundabout, take a left onto London Road and follow it all the way down, past the Britannia on your left and the site of the old Manor Ground on your right, go down past the White Horse and then straight down the hill, past South Park and then over the plain and onto the High Street, take a right at the lights when you get over the bridge, navigate the tight turns and then get the cricket pavilion on your right, follow the road around until the Pitt Rivers can be seen on your right, take a left at the lights and then head up and into Broad St where the biggest crowd will have gathered.

Anyone who says otherwise is a fake fan with a personality disorder and needs their f**king head kicked in.

Most of us have been patient, worried, level headed, concerned, positive, negative, optimistic, pessimistic, realistic, deluded, angry, happy and panicked at some point throughout this transfer window, but thats the life of a supporter I'm afraid, it's a bloody rollercoaster, especially if you're an Oxford United fan!

But while I can't speak for others, after all the positive news of the last couple of weeks, and the great start to the season, I'm enjoying some post match beers, and feeling pretty damn good and optimistic about the way things look right now, and fully intend to enjoy it while it lasts!

and it's time for another beer........cheers!

And, of course, you know better than everybody what is good for the club, and what is not.
What possible grounds for any differing view point could anybody else have?

"I agree with the original post to a great extent" So, you disagree with a lesser extent of the original post? Would you care to expand?

"it goes beyond having an opinion" What does this mean?

"pillocks with an agenda" Agenda? Care to explain that statement?

I am all for debate and educated discussion, what you have posted is neither.

Great post.

Fans were right to be concerned about the lack of activity until recently. After all our summer last year was terrible.
Fans were proven right to remain positive about this summer.
We are all on the same side of the fence!

Just a fan with an opinion. Might be time to change your sheets ;)

Let's be fair, we're nearly at 7000 posts on this thread, and probably 90% of them have been negative! We've lost a couple of decent posters on the back of this negativity too. There has been a lot of crap flying around this summer, and a lot of it came my way for putting my head above the parapet and saying that things would work out fine in the end.

There were loads who were happy to jump all over me when I said that Gavin Whyte was staying and Marcus Browne was here to sign. I held my hands up to that and took it on the chin. But the likes of @RyanioBirdio, whilst proclaiming the need to play the ball and not the man, took great delight in mocking me further. I mentioned that players like Ched Evans was really impressed by the training ground and set up behind the scenes and was again mocked. Yet on the preview this week Chris Cadden talks about how good the set up is, and those who visited with OxVox were really impressed.

I also said to judge Robinson and the recruitment department on the team that faced Sunderland and the one we have on 2nd September. Admittedly until 2pm yesterday we still looked a striker or 2 short, but otherwise our recruitment has been nothing short of fantastic this summer. I knew that we had interest in Ben Woodburn from very early on, I knew that the centre backs we were looking at were all of a very high standard for our level. I knew that many players were being spoken to and that it was only a matter of time before the deals concluded. I might not have the intimate knowledge that @ECYellow has, but I have been saying throughout this summer that things will be ok, and I'm very happy to be proved right. And for 99% of the forum, this has nothing to do with scoring points or any of that bullshit, but there are a few that I'd love to ram their words back down their throats.

This has nothing to do with taking sides. We all want what is best for Oxford, and I genuinely think that we are at the beginning of something very special here. But please, for the love of God, learn to chill out a little!

Now to order some more positive buses for all you fuckers to finally get on board!!!
