Away Match Day Thread +++ 03/08/2019 L1: Sunderland v OUFC MDT +++

all overe a draw and I would have taken that at the start, shame the officials were w**k but we're Oxford what do we expect.

Ah well, I'd have settled for a draw at the start of the match, Is it too early in the season to start bitching about the ref ?!

Good start to the season, particularly compared to last year. Really looking forward to next week's games.

Good result.

We’ll play worse this year and win. Plus the universal law of ‘the rub of the green’ means we’ve banked a few decisions for later on too.

Will Grigg? I feel sorry for Wigan they should have asked for more rather than add on's

Well done lads a well earned point and sounded like we had to play against the officials as well.

replay shows Ruffles got the ball so no penalty.

sounded ok on the radio. looks like a long season of awful refereeing to come though.
looking forward to next week and my first chance to see the new team

Some referees feel the intimidation of being in a big stadium with a large home crowd. Some are just crap. This referee was both.

Despite that, great away point, even if another day could have been more. No complaints about the pen, was a stupid place to dangle a leg whether he definitely caught the man or not. Was asking the ref to make a decision.

Struggled a bit second half, Fosu went back into pre-season mode but the likes of Gorrin and Dickie did really well and it’s starting the season with a forward step.
