I hope

I hope not, he is absolute cack.

He still scored 19 goals In all comps for a struggling side.

He’s a tall target man which would be what we need if we go one up top. Hold it up and bring the wingers into play, and take the pressure off of another striker feeding off of him.

I think we will sign one, and bring another in on loan. 2 strikers let’s be greedy ZTH.
You are probably right, but I suspect the chances of seeing both of them in any starting line up will be slim, based on last season!

I suspect he is a decent, or at least has good potential. I'd personally put more trust in the scouting department of two large football clubs, over a grown man who uses the term"absolute cack".
I can only go on my own opinion from what ive seen of course. Some scouts thought Steve Anthrobus was good at one time dont forget.

In my opinion, he is ability challenged.

Since the end of the season, we've lost Sinclair, Garbutt, Graham, Kashi, Nelson (presumably), Mousinho (not in regular first team plans), and Browne (and others fell by the wayside who were not first team regulars). Let's not talk about Eastwood and Whyte - hopefully neither of those will be heading off! On the plus side, Hall and Baptise *should* be ready relatively quickly. So I reckon that's 7 gone and 2 back in contention.

So six new signings doesn't seem unreasonable IF they are proper first team players rather than development players. You'd also suspect the club are counting on one or two of the current U23s playing more of a part next season.

That does of course beg the question - how many of the new signings will be proper signings and how many loans of young inexperienced players from up the pyramid that might or might not prove effective? Of course if Whyte and/or Easty end up being sold, then those two will have to be in addition to the six - not included in them!

Spot on Zerothehero.
7 out and hopefully 2 back in so 6 signings looks about right.
Plus the U23s most of who are a year older and hopefully will be closer to first team action.

According to RadioOx Kashi doesn’t look like he’s coming back, Gavin Whyte to be given the Number 10 shirt said KR

KR expects '2 maybe 3 medicals in the next 10 days'.

2 bids accepted on players.

a couple of 'extensive talks' on top of the 3

Kashi 'unlikely' to return

Plus we are still looking to offload McMahon whether thats on loan for the season or a permanent so a right back still comes in in-place for him

I was including McMahon in the 'not first team regulars' since we haven't seen him for bloody months! The question is whether Long (and Ruffels on the other side) are now seen as the first choice full backs.

I think KR said he was looking for a RB? I think Ruffels will stay at LB. Long has done well since coming in, but with all positions if we have the opportunity to upgrade then we should (assuming we have enough budget for the priority positions)

Realistically what we need:

Right back (replacement for McMahon)
2 Centre backs (Nelson going being 1)
1/2 Defensive Midfielder (Mousinho won’t be playing with either him going into coaching or moved on & Kashi)
2 Left Wingers (Browne, Garbutt & Graham all gone back)
2 Centre Forwards DESPERATELY

Ruffels will be first choice Long as cover for both RB & LB said in the OM last month as KR looking for a new RB

I didn't read that, but (although Long covered that area well at the end of last season) I think that's the right decision. Mind you, didn't we try Hanson there as well? He looks more and more like an experiment that hasn't come off either there or in central midfield (where I can't imagine him being a regular over the likes of Brannagan, Baptiste, Kashi perhaps, Sykes, Henry etc).

Hanson started to look decent in midfield towards the end of the season. We have quite a versatile midfield with Sykes/Brannagan/Baptiste who can play further forward. Still think we need a holding midfielder but I think Hanson will pick up more minutes in midfield next season
