Honestly 4/1 if i was a bookie. All it takes is a run of a couple of games without losing and we're be almost safe. If we get this new manager effect that every other team seems to get then we'll almost be safe. The players just need confidence and someone to inspire them.

I think the form has been down to the fact that us the fans are probably been the harshest critics of them and they don't like that. They have probably been getting two different messages, one from PEP that they were doing fine and then the boos from fans, has left them baffled.
We need a manager who demands respect and isn't afraid to give a player a kick up the a**e when it's needed and gives the players the truth not try to gloss over things.

‘A couple of wins …’ Where have I heard all that before?!

2005-06 everyone was utterly complacent about plight. At this point in that season, we’d lost our sixth home game in seven against Darlington, but sat 12 points clear of the drop in 16th in League 2. Nobody saw Stockport and Torquay turning things around but they did. Just remember that there are four spots for relegation this time around, not two.

The table from back then is below. Things actually didn’t look that bad but we only gained another 15 more points and dropped out of the league.

Right now and after witnessing the first team be schooled by Chelsea’s kids, I think we all have a reason to be concerned. Our motivation and momentum is rock bottom at the minute and we need something to pick us up.

On the relegation debate, from experimental361, an excellent stats analysis website for the FL, which is often very accurate.

As of 21st Jan, we have around 2.5% to make playoffs, similar to get relegated and 95% in between. Seems sensible to me.

We need a manager who will get us promoted from this division rather than relegated from it.

As long as this is guaranteed at the point of employment then I will back the decision.

Or moan if it goes wrong.

If it’s going to be Frank let’s get him in sooner rather than later!!

What a load of old tosh, sorry the guys played against the best, played with the best, played for the best managers and knows his stuff and most important of all will have some great contacts - We would be punching way above our wait, let’s bring it on, prefer this than a round the block sort of a guy

Ahh weight a minute, I think you're right ??

Going to chat about his managerial ambitions apparently...

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but RO did also mention this morning that they believe a first time manager won’t be considered if I heard that bit right?

The more I think about any potential candidates the more I think Paul Tisdale would be a top appointment, because he’s worked with youngsters, and moved them on for profit. Ie Grimes, and others. He’s also been in league one with plucky Exeter and also having another good season with them. I think he might be worth a call.

He will have more to work with here and a much bigger budget, and more potential. Surely he could enhance his managerial credentials by coming here, and doing a good job. Top six is where we are aiming, and I think with the right recruitment during the summer, I think that’s well within our grasp.

Just putting that one out there.
