Big win tonight! Results went our way and of course, Swindon lost!

Based on tonight, I think Sykes deserves to start on Saturday. I also think Barker should start ahead of Shodipo, who did next to nothing while he was on. Can’t wait to get Maguane back into our midfield. At times, I think we really miss him. Lee is quality and could well prove to be one of the best signings we have made in recent years.

By no means perfect but crucially, 3 points!

COYY!

Great finishes from both Lee and Barker, and great work from Forde in the build up to the 2nd goal, and a lovely dinked ball from Henry to set up the first, hope him and Long are ok.

Very important three points, and back to winning ways, well done Robbo and the lads👏

But overall, the performance was atrocious, must improve.

As others have said, not the prettiest or most convincing win - but we'll take it!

Our midfield was very pedestrian. I think we are missing McGuane in midfield, especially his ability to run with the ball and beat a man.

The defence looked all over the place at times tonight. Keeping a clean sheet really flattered us.

Lee has added some quality to the team, and Barker is the perfect option off the bench (at least until he gets up to full fitness).

Sykes did well when he came on. I for one am glad to see him back in the match day squad.

The playoffs are now a very real possibility. Let's keep it going. COYY

I think Shodipo and Barker can alternate games, I mean, Shodipo scored Saturday after coming on and Barker tonight. I think Barker can cause a lot of issues at the best of times with his pace, so bring him on when the defender(s) are tiring and you’ve got a good recipe.

No, he's not a commentator, he's a pundit. His insight is welcome, his monologues are not. If you had worked in radio, as I have, you would know the difference.
You make the same two posts on here every match, picture quality and kinniburgh again and again, and yet your an expert in entertainment?

If you worked in football, like I do, you'd understand that what kinniburgh is saying adds huge value.

Stevie K talks too much for sure - but actually what he says is often both interesting and insightful. Which is a real rarity amongst commentators nowadays! So I'm always happy to hear him on duty.

Clearly one of the main reasons that Rovers are where they are this season is their finishing - because it was abysmal today. They created some great opportunities, but half of them ended up in Row Z, and the other half were softly right at Stevens. We had fewer clear cut chances, but had the quality to put two of them away.

Sunderland losing to Shrewsbury, and Accrington losing to Plymouth were great results for us. They play Donny and Lincoln respectively on Saturday, so we could easily be above them both after that.

But hopefully we'll play a bit better against Wigan, because that wasn't always an easy watch tonight.

started ok but not impressed with the rest..........sunday league game.

Really enjoyed listening to Kinniburghs commentary while watching the game today. He really talks some good, sensible stuff in that thick Scottish drawl of his. Love the way he was berating Brandon Barker for pulling out of a challenge before he went and smashed in that late goal! Thought Gorrin and Sykes in particular played well. Stevens looked assured, as ever. Thank god Roverzzzz can't score for toffee though.

A sign of a good team is winning and not getting out of first gear. In fact at times it looked like we had a gearbox full of neutrals, but we played against a team that putting it nicely we’re hopeless. It’s Lge 2 for them I think.

Great to see two deadline signings score, that will boost there confidence, and we move on now to Wigan on Saturday. Need another 3 points there, so we can really pressure the teams above.

No issue with him as a pundit. His insight and knowledge of the game is excellent. He just needs to realise that, on radio, folks need to get a description of what is happening.
Like Robbie Savage on cocomms, as I said.

Well Clive, he's passed it, then the other ones shot, it's come off the defender, and it's gone in.

Brilliant Robbie. How much are we paying you.
