KR says that Burton want to play him as a right sided midfielder!!
So KR signed him as a RB and has now sent him out on loan.
Surely this is an admission of failure on KR'S part.
JFH obviously knows Clare's best position!!
No they said that they want to play him as a box to box midfield player.
Not sure why the digs at KR? I assume that the recruitment team were heavily involved in signing him as a right back?

Clare has played most of his career as a central attacking mid who can also play right wing. If he plays centre mid for Burton it won’t be anything he doesn’t know how to do.

Insane decision to me.

Yes he was poor at right back - because he’s not a right back - but he can cover right back and left back, and I don’t see that we currently have a better right midfielder in the building. Sean Clare has been better than James Henry when you compare every right wing appearance they’ve both made this season.

I’d have been starting Sean Clare at RW next league game, not sending him out on loan. Robbie Hall and Liam Kelly are absolutely stealing a living at the club staying while he goes out.
'Insane? Really?
He has done better recently including when he came on as a right back and when Long went to CB. I am not sure that he has started/ played enough to say that we can't get better in? Let's see.
In my view he is nowhere near as good as Henry.

No one wants Sykes, no one wants Hall. Both completely understandable.

Those 2 were the ones Robinson wanted out the building but like Mooro said, not a lot you can do when no one wants them!

Hall, why was he given a contract? FGR didn’t want him after his loan and no other league 2 club wanted him either. Ridiculous to give him a deal.

Sykes needs to be very, very careful and I’d suggest he needs to start taking the opportunities offered to him or it’ll be back to NI for him.

Clare is unlucky, but it’s a good move all round for all 3 parties. It also helps out as we’ve played burton twice so he could potentially help us out league wise!

You'd surely imagine that KR was an integral (and probably deciding) part of the recruitment team?
When Clare's name was mentioned, we all Googled him and found out that he was a wide right sided midfielder who had played a few games (not to good reviews) at right back. Surely if we could do that, the 'recruitment team' could do the same - and so it can hardly come as a huge surprise to anyone when he turned out to be a decent midfielder and a poor right back?

Why - they are below us, so presumably we want them to stay there?

Mark Sykes seems all very similar to the Liam Sercombe situation. Falling out with the manager after a Wembley loss.

Thought Jerome said that he was speaking to KR about possible incoming before kick off I didn’t hear anything, anyone hear anything?
