1st part of Xmas slate done ..positive for a change given most of my memories of the crimble period.

Absolutely bloody awful. Against AFC Wimbledon. We are totally Rubbish. But hey, we won, and thats all that matters.

Now looking forward to seeing Robbos transfers.

We’ll add that one to the mugging stats for TVP. We move on to another big game against Plymouth.

A fairly appalling watch and an unjust result. Wimbledon deserved something from that.

We're indebted to Stevens for the result. A string of good saves and some James Henry blocks to keep us in it.

I'm annoyed that KR has nothing but shock-and-awe in his locker. One change for them tactically and we go to pieces. The second half had no shape, no ideas and relied entirely on defending what we had because we had no other options available. Neat flicks and backheels are fine but you need some mettle too. The good news is that our defence has that but the midfield were all over the place.

A win is a win, but to compete and prove we're capable of better, we need to improve on that.

Wimbledon only have themselves to blame for that. As soon as they switched from the needlessly negative 5 at the back they dominated the game, our decisive second goal was a training ground set piece we've tried at least three times before this season, and still, with the amount of chances they had, they probably should have scored at least twice. Got away with that I think.

Still, we had our own chances, Stevens showed he can make the same spectacular saves as Easty, and we've again demonstrated that we can see off the poorer sides in this league. Five league games unbeaten, nine points. Don't mind that.

That's probably the best OUFC goalkeeping performance I've seen for years, Jack Stevens MOTM and the reason we came away with 3 points and a clean sheet. Superb.

A poor game to watch in the end but an important win which lifts us away from danger with the transfer window ahead of us.

Shows we can defend. If we can keep grinding out 2-0 wins I’d be more than happy, but we need to lose the habit of going up and then getting nervous and sitting back, stopping doing what we do best (pass, keep the ball, attack)

It threatened to be Swindon all over again. But, to be fair, we defended better and were 2-0 up by that point.

I’d like to see us have the pace of Clare wide right and Agyei up front late on in games, and counter teams more rather than just sitting back and hoofing it.
