I don't like fighting/Hooliganism at football, but I have to praise the few West Ham fans who fought back the AZ cowards to protect fellow fans/players' family & Friends.

Certainly they did the job the Police should have been doing. If AZ ultras had a 'reputation' it is shot to pieces looking at that.

I remember that well, I was 12 and with my brother, who would have been 9 at the time, when they tried to storm it. We were looked after by some blokes we didn't know who shielded us from the chaos and escorted us to the safety of the supporters club when we got separated from dad. No idea who they were, but thanks fellas.

If true, this makes a mockery whether the suspensions are before or after the Final. If they must then make it a suspended 1 game ban, cleared after playing 1 game in Europe so that it is dealt with instantly. If they are actually banned from games (rather than suspended) then UEFA has to start banning clubs from Europe as well.

It shows that UEFA are gutless cowards completely out of touch with reality. The players reacted after a mob attempted to attack their families. The police and stewards did nothing, so UEFA blame the West Ham players.

what IMO should happen- if anything, is that AZ get suspended from hosting home games for the foreseeable. The home club, stewards and police cannot guarantee the safety of (visiting) supporters, until they can , no home matches in any UEFA competitions

UEFA are about as rubbish as EFL/ FA are in doing the right thing IMO
