Other European Turkish crowd violence

All started after Goztepe fans fired flares into the away end that burned children snd seriously injured at least one adult male. That's why the ambulance was on the pitch.

Christ knows why anyone would then think that's a good time to run across a pitch and attack a goalkeeping with the corner flag?

Lucky it didn't result in full scale disorder unless more happened after the event.

Edit - it seems that it was an Altay fan that fired into the Goztepe fans.

Recently passed legislation in Turkey that "any person threatening the security of a match will be handed a jail term of at least one year that could be extended to three. Previously, the maximum penalty had been one year."

If you ever get chance you have to go to a Turkish game, it is absolutely insane, mostly in a good way.

they’ve always had serious hooliganism just surprised that no serious action hasn’t been sanctioned against the Turks.
