The wider quote of the racist 60s police chief he is quoting from:
"We haven’t had any serious problems with civil uprising and looting because I’ve let the word filter down that when the looting starts, the shooting starts, we don’t mind being accused of police brutality. They haven’t seen anything yet.”

'When the looting starts the shooting starts'. That's what WE need more of! None of this vague messaging from the government. None of this 'follow your instincts' or 'use your common sense' or 'stay alert' but firm, clear information. The thugs of Minneapolis know where they stand and should now accept the consequences of their future actions.
The message should have been extended to make it clearer;

When the Looting starts, the Shooting starts.
But if you're black, don't shoot back.
Or you'll hit the deck, and we'll break your neck
But if you're white, you'll be alright.

Nice easy instructions for the masses to understand!!!

Mind, there were recent protests against the lock down with some "protesting" kitted out in full military gear brandishing M16's showing their rights.

Can you imagine a few African American kitted out say in the same gear or black clothes carrying M16's??

Unbelievably, I've actually heard of a tweet (not seen it, so this might be rubbish) that puts all the blame on the dead black man. Apparently, the police wouldn't have stopped him if he'd done nothing wrong and he probably had a 'bad attitude' which justified the tough action.

So the Policeman who knelt on Floyd's neck has been charged with 3rd degree murder and 2nd degree manslaughter. The family want 1st degree murder, but isn't premeditation required for that?

Charges expected for the 3 other Police Officers.

As someone who restrains people for a living, positional asphyxiation has been known about for 20 odd years, particularly amongst Afro-Caribbean men. Any weight on the back prevents the chest cavity expanding enough to get oxygen in the body. So you keep people face down for the minimum amount of time, keep weight off them and go absolutely nowhere near the neck/throat. And even this would usually only happen until cuffs were applied, at which point you sit them up or keep them on their side.

You have to be able to demonstrate that the use of force is necessary, reasonable, and proportionate so that the minimum amount is used. None of that applied in this case.

How anyone, other than ignorant racist dicks, can defend this is beyond me.

For whatever reason, the fully armed protests passed off without a major incident - likely as most were Trump supporters and full of hot air. Some African Americans also attended rallies. The anger over George Floyd's murder is very understandable and very real because his death is so completely senseless, but wanton destruction of property again won't make justice roll any quicker or validate an opinion.

The looting etc of stores and premises, and violence in the past few days is realistically only hurting the poor and middle classes of Minnesota and other cities. Who works at a Target in Minnesota? Not a high paid CEO, but working poor and young people. Will Target stay in that lot? How quick can the store be repaired? What happens to the employees in that time? And replicate that across other chains and stores.

Equally, who had a their small business destroyed and looted? People from all ethnic backgrounds. The only thing the looters are doing is making the lives for many people worse in the short term, and unknown in the medium to long term. As such, it's counter intuitive to justice.

I hope the policeman goes away for a very long time. Awful human being,
