Umm, yes they do! Tiger, Zaki, NM and KR have been involved in a number of meetings with the other board members (investors in your world!) The plans for the club have been outlined to those involved, and this includes on-field plans (promotion, investment in youth etc) and off-field plans (financial stability, training ground, stadium). You talk about loans/debts etc but have absolutely no idea how the finances will be structured. The investors(?) have huge personal wealth. They can finance pretty much anything at the club without making a dent into their bank balances. So the structure for repaying the investment can be offset against future income from associated businesses whilst allowing the club to control it's own revenue. Fantasy?
Again, you have absolutely no idea about rising debts or our financial situation? I would suggest that rather than increasing debts we are nearer to balancing our books this season. We got £2m+ for Gavin Whyte, plus a sell on for Roofe. We cleared the high earners in Nelson, Holmes, Garbutt and Carruthers, and did much better business in the summer. Woodburn and Thorpe aren't costing us much, Taylor and Cadden came in without transfer fees, and Ageyi and Forde are on fairly low wages too. It is only Fosu and Moore who came in on deals comparable with those who left.
In addition, we have had 3 sell outs in the league cup (so far) and tv money for Man City. We had tv money for the FA cup against H&Y with a better than decent chance of making round 4 and should see 20k at the next two home games, with some big games still to come.
We also have a very settled and happy squad. So, do I think anyone will leave? I don't know. But do we NEED to sell? Absolutely not. Any one leaving will only happen if it's too good an offer for either the club or the player (or both). But then maybe this is just fantasy too?!
