Home Match Day Thread +++ OUFC v Accrington Stanley 25/02/20 +++

Bolton equalise at Blackpool. A good point for them if they can hold on.

Bolton must be rubbish. Blackpool - Bolton 2-1

Really good win. Honestly didn't expect that to be quite so comfortable in the end - a return to our habit of winning 3-0 at home. Lets not forget that everything would have been very different had it not been for an unbelievable block from Long (who had a great game - lovely pre-assist to Henry for the third) and that frankly unreal double save from Eastwood (just seen a replay - honestly one of the best bits of goalkeeping I've ever seen). We're slowly creeping back up the table.

Important point that's often been overlooked - in the last week and two hours (or so), our GD has improved by +9. In such a tight promotion race, our absurd GD could well be as good as an extra point. Currently third best in the league, behind Posh and Rotherham.

I feel dirty celebrating a Sunderland goal.

Well done to us tonight though - I for one thought this was all over a few games ago. Looking at the end of our March and April it's still going to be tight but if we can just keep it alive we'll have a shot at playoffs.
