Meanwhile trainset stew and charlie regretting appointing a manager already at Sunderland.
Didn't Mapp also get £1.5m when he successfully sued the surgeon who operated on his knee? I hope he has a good financial advisor.
He spent most of that £1.5m in tattoos so he needs another payout.

Slight correction £1.0M on tattoos the rest on gym fees
Said it at the time he made a mistake leaving here. He still has a flaky reputation. I wonder if he regrets not sticking around for the 4 mill budget last season? I know I do.

Turned down Barnsley job apparently. The suggestion is he will have to start again at Lge 1 level[/QUOTE
And Pep did so well with £4M lets hope he doesn't re-start in L1
Really? Trainset Stew and Sartori COULD have completed the takeover but for arguing over a million or so? Charlie told us that £25M was the sum needed to invest for an OUFC takeover and a good shot at Championship football. Yet one year later, Donald finds £40M to buy out Sunderland ? something smells ...Grow the f**k up. He was shafted by Eels.
And we all regret him leaving so Pep Fuckwit was let loose.
Good luck to Appleton.
Not sure why you think he will "float" in a top job, no managerial experience at that level with far better and experienced people around.Assume they paid him off £1.5m and he will take a few weeks break until the first casualties start to be announced and then he is front of the queue. Will float straight into a top job - WHU? Everton? Think WBA beckons eventually - failing which he could always get himself up to Vegas and start fighting in a cage. GL MaPP. Think he will become a top manager and we are going to be hearing a lot about him for a long time. Wonder if Sean Derry hadnt come if he would have come back as joint manager with KR
A minute later saw this - surely not a number two - WBA is a huge rebuilding job. He wont get the blame if it fails or the credit if it succeeds. If he is going to make big money, I think he has to sell himself not as someone who plasters over the holes of clubs seriously restructuring, rather an improver of young men. Wonder if its already done - easy money at a premium to the £500k he was reported as getting at the foxes, but with £1.5m in the bank, I would be thinking about seeing what comes up and doing a Lampard. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sp...ews/michael-appleton-man-become-west-14850314

So it was not in the best interests of the club pursuing the Donald/Sartori takeover as they were too far away from a deal. and to evidence why it wasn't in the best interests of the club, Appleton walked away.

Someone will have to take a punt on him to manage in the championship that is the next step for him, there are only 20 managerial jobs in the prem and they are littered with overseas appointments, I can't see Mapp or his like breaking through at that level.
