Why arent there hundreds of thousands of signatures?Done, Up to 58,000 signaturesnow !
Most Premier League fans have never stood at a game so cannot relate to how much better it is...Why arent there hundreds of thousands of signatures?
It seems very low on the basis that all clubs seem to wantbit to be an option?

Just a Thought, but if you had to sit there for a game, wouldn't the rail in front be right in you're eyeline ?If safe standing followed the rail seating model... as used at many European stadiums, and also a sample section of which was on display at an OUFC open day a few years ago( theres pics of Beano, among others, stood on it/trying it out....it was around the time under KT as chairman, when OUFC did, a supporters led, extensive study into safe standing and rail seating....@Amersham Dave was there at that open day) ... with safe standing rail seating was used, seats could be bolted into postition or bolted flush with the rail depepending weather the stand was being used as seated area or safe standing area.... image below gives an idea of how it looks in safe standing mode ......View attachment 424
Guessing it may depend how tall or small individuals sitting on a bolted down rail seat?...... and, for me at least, that's the long and short of itJust a Thought, but if you had to sit there for a game, wouldn't the rail in front be right in you're eyeline ?
Shrewsbury are due to start installing safe-standing next month. I wonder what will happen if they’re promoted to the Championship? I presume they will be permitted to use the section still as it would have been in place before they earned promotion (became a Championship club).
If Shrewsbury do get promoted into the Championship, and stay there for 3 years +, then they will be required to change it back to an all seated stadium. If they stay there for less than 3 years then they can keep the safe standing section.
This is Footballs biggest collective movement, quite possibly ever, never seen so many clubs, and even Shaun Harvey, trying to fight the same fight.
To be debated in Parliament on 25th June.

Why do I get the feeling it’s going to be a cringeworthy debate that only highlights how out of touch they are and no real progress is made.
Sadly Anneliese Dodds (Oxford EastMP) is nothing like her predecessor Andrew Smith. Contacted her when I signed the petition...2 weeks on , NO reply...re emailed her, finally, a week later she replied. Her stance was its safer to sit....so my response was that maybe she should visit the breeze block and see for herself how, in reality, unsafe, in comparison to (safe) standing the small n narrow legroom seating is there.... and challenged her to unequivically prove to me how much safer it would be to clear an all seated stand when compared to a safe standing terrace in an emergency. As yet no reply.Everyone should email their MP and let them know how they feel about it.
