Yes lower than that and they can have safe standing anyway. The law only relates to the top two Divisions.Done. Is there a reason why the petition is limited to Premier and Championship clubs?
So we could have safe standing now assuming FK would permit and the club was in favour but as things stand (pardon the pun) if we get to the Championship then we couldn't. I believe safe standing incorporates seating as an alternative to standing so that not being able to stand would not involve any structural changes. That right?Yes lower than that and they can have safe standing anyway. The law only relates to the top two Divisions.

Its worth noting that capacity of a stand with safe standing rail seating installed looses approximately 1/3 of capacity when the rail seats are used for seatingIf safe standing followed the rail seating model... as used at many European stadiums, and also a sample section of which was on display at an OUFC open day a few years ago( theres pics of Beano, among others, stood on it/trying it out....it was around the time under KT as chairman, when OUFC did, a supporters led, extensive study into safe standing and rail seating....@Amersham Dave was there at that open day) ... with safe standing rail seating was used, seats could be bolted into postition or bolted flush with the rail depepending weather the stand was being used as seated area or safe standing area.... image below gives an idea of how it looks in safe standing mode ......View attachment 424

They can still use it for the first three seasons in the Championship , but from the fourth can't. Not sure if the regulation means they have to remove or just close the standing area.Yes lower than that and they can have safe standing anyway. The law only relates to the top two Divisions.
Does that mean a lower leage club would need to remove safe standing upon promotion to the championship? Quite farcical, if so, given that I suspect at least some of their attendances in a promotion season would rank alongside those in the championship. Wonder if Sunderland could be persuaded to test this out. I'll leave the jokes to others here!
Those rules of course can be in amended in the case of somebody like Brentford who have been threatening to get a new ground for years and have finally started building it.They can still use it for the first three seasons in the Championship , but from the fourth can't. From the EFL rules:
"1.4 Each Championship Club shall, with effect from the start of its fourth Season in the Championship) only admit spectators to seated accommodation, and there shall be no standing terraces."
I am amazed that Labour dont add safe standing and cheaper tickets to their manifesto.
Arsenal are in based his constituency (since they relocated from south of the water)Maybe they will now. Who does Jezza support?
