The Trust Covid status has dropped from Level 5 (deep in the muck) to Level 4 (head above muck).
I reckon it is borderline to drop to Level 3 by the weekend (head and shoulders above the muck but still in the muck!)

According to the bbc news article regarding cancer and vaccine response, blood cancer sufferers haven’t had much luck, after 5 weeks 8 percent have had a antibody response

A year ago, that was exactly how the whole country was reacting to this new virus. You could exchange "Westminster" with "Birmingham" or "Bristol" or even with "Barclays", "Boots" or "BMW" and find similar stories.

I guess if you read the article you might have gained a broader understanding of the "why".
Security.
Hot desking.
Crowded space.
Dysfunctional estate.
Presenteeism.
Etc, Etc...
No out break at my office of around 500. People were very careful from the off. Elbow bumps were in place when Johnson was still shaking hands in hospitals. A mixture of luck and doing the right thing not luck and doing the wrong thing as that would never work.

More lies from politicians.

Serco has slammed 'misleading' claims about its role in the NHS's Test and Trace programme after Jeremy Corbyn and leading Labour MPs wrongly suggested it had bagged £37billion from the scheme.

The outsourcing group has faced criticism over the controversial programme – seen as a crucial tool to tackle the Covid-19 crisis – which took months to become effective after launching in May.

But yesterday Serco said it needed to 'set the record straight' following a series of false claims by Labour politicians. The firm said it had been awarded contracts for Test and Trace worth £350m overall and that its role in the scheme is 'small'.

However, several leading Labour politicians have continued to claim that the scheme is 'Serco-led' or that the company received £37bn for its services – statements that independent charity Full Fact this week said were demonstrably false.

Serco made total revenues of £3.9billion in 2020, according to its annual results. Full Fact singled out frontbencher Rachel Reeves and former leader Corbyn for criticism, saying they had both made 'misleading' statements.

A Serco spokesman said: 'We are one of five companies managing testing centres and we are one of the two prime contractors providing call handlers to support medical contact tracers from NHS Professionals. We are not involved in many other aspects of the system and the Department for Health and Social Care spend less than 3 per cent of the Test and Trace budget with Serco.'

Full Fact pointed to a press release issued by Labour on Wednesday, in which Reeves – who is Shadow Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster – savaged the 'outsourced, Serco-led Test and Trace system'.

And Corbyn, who sits as an independent MP, told Parliament on Monday: 'Surely to goodness, if £37billion can be found to pay Serco for a failed track and trace system, the money must be available to pay NHS staff properly.'

The false claim was repeated by the former Labour leader in a tweet as well, which was shared by thousands of other users and remains online.

But Full Fact said: 'Since its launch in May 2020, the NHS Test and Trace scheme has been repeatedly described in misleading ways. Despite our efforts to point this out, a number of politicians and public figures have continued to make incorrect claims about the system.'

77353 people in Leicestershire have tested positive - up from 77,222 (increase 131)
34796 (increase of 64) were within the Leicester City Council area.
42557 (increase of 67) cases were reported in the County.
UHL reported 2 death's.
The death's occurred on the following days 10th and 11th March.

140 positive inpatients, mostly in ITU.

We never reached Level 3 (head and shoulders above the muck but still in the muck!) although we should do next week.

They are now interviewing staff who haven`t taken up the vaccine, no pressure then.

I like that approach ... asking people not vaccinated to explain themselves

Out of 17k staff we`ve vaccinated 14k, of the 3k that are left 78% are BAME. It`ll be a very gentle process of persuasion.............. or an HR minefield!
....(dons tin hat) and maybe an un-neccessary drain on resources that could be better used to increase the ( so far suggested) 1% pay rise ? ;)

Just looked it up and the NHS is the fifth biggest employer in the world after the US and Chinese military’s, Walmart and McDonalds according to Wikipedia.

I looked on the same site and the NHS has 14 times more managers to front line staff than either Walmart or McDonalds, although they (NHS staff) smell better.
