I only just spotted this but former Football Conference chairman Brian Lee passed away on 12th February.

We certainly crossed swords with him a few times during his administration during our longer-than-desired stay down there, notably during the whole Eddie Hutchinson/Mick Brown/fax machine saga during what the kids nowadays call our 'banter era'.

I remember him describing it as ridiculous when we gave Constable a 3 year contract, he didn't seem to get that ex football league clubs with big fanbase's' are not going to act like Altrincham etc and just be happy to be in the Conference.

Him, and his cronies, were no friends of ours when we were in The Conference, and they made our life there as difficult as they could, in as many petty and spiteful ways as they could. They gloried in trying to take us down to their level.

Sorry, but I can't bring myself to RIP him, as it would make me a hypocrite.
