I refuse to believe Oxford have signed an injury prone player, seems far too far-fetched to be true.Tbf, it is starting to look a pretty suspect signing for 400k
Well tbf the manager either comes out and tells the truth or tells us a load of porkies and we all hang on to every word and we’re still hanging as the silence around Goodwin is deafening.Players have set backs, it might be the player who doesn’t feel ready, there might be other stuff going on in his personal life.
I’m not sure why fans always hang on every word a manager says.
Kind of agree Baz. In January we needed a striker for this season not next. He may come good next season but that’s missing the point..Yep and didn’t Des say he would be back today? What a waste of money
Let's hope Burton have trained and prepared expecting him to upfront......Bazzer is right, Des did say he would be back today.
Oh come on, he's never been fit since he signed and it's looking more like a suspect signing.Players have set backs, it might be the player who doesn’t feel ready, there might be other stuff going on in his personal life.

Have FOSB been looking after that pitch?
Murph just needs to move inside to give Greg the space to bomb on. Cam has to read the situation and fill in at LB if required.Good to see Leigh back but it does mean Murphy might need to track back a bit more
Possibly told the club he doesn’t want the automatic 1 year extension? Reckon he has a deal lined up for next season and simply wants out. Prob doesn’t want to pick up an injury and isn’t fully committed..I’m still troubled by McGuane not even being on the subs bench? What has happened there?
Goodrham?Looking forward to seeing the return of Goo….. oh.
Surely Goodwin is ok for the bench. I wonder if he is out for the season with a little knock.
We shouldn’t need him today but we do need three points. Nothing less will do
I would rather the club donate 400k to local children's charity's in oxfordshire it would be more beneficial .Tbf, it is starting to look a pretty suspect signing for 400k
It says Bennett has picked up a 'minor knock'. Well we all know what they could mean then.....Shame for Bennett - but I’m not unhappy to have Leigh back in. I still feel like our best 11 has him in it somewhere.
I’m not writing Goodwin off at all. But the fact that we needed another striker option to rotate with/help Harris in August, and we’re now at April and thinking ‘maybe Marcus Browne can do it’ is incredibly frustrating…
It depends on the injury etc and potential of the player whether it makes sense. In this case I am prepared to give it more time before deciding on whether he turns out to be a good signing or not. However, I concede that it hasn't been great so far.I would rather the club donate 400k to local children's charity's in oxfordshire it would be more beneficial .
Signing injured players makes absolute zero sense .He clearly won't be available until August like I stated 4 weeks ago .
On the Burton forum they were all hoping for a return to 4 at the back as they don’t like that system and haven’t played well in it apparently. So might be a good thing for usAccording to the BBC site Burton are set up to play 3 at the back with wingbacks.
Not sure if it’s true but it feels like we often struggle against that system.
Going to be an interesting on the flanks today. Can we exploit the space behind their wingbacks with our two wingers, or will Murphy and Dale be needed to help out defensively if Burton overload the wide areas?
