League One Reading FC

As I have mentioned before, I have a friend who is a sponsor at Wycombe and he tells me that the ground is being bought by Feliciana, which is the parent company of Wycombe, so not actually by Wycombe itself, which has set a few alarm bells ringing. They have been looking for a training ground for sometime and as suspected, the Couhig's don't have this sort of money and it is being 100% funded by the Georgian bloke who wants to build a Wycombe academy. Reading will continue to use the ground, so facilities will be shared. Oh, and Lomtadze has never actually been to a game or met anyone other than the Couhig's. Now, that is keeping a low profile! All sounds above aboard to me.
I mentioned some of this in the Wycombe Financial Analysis, earlier in the season. See attached.

I've no time at all for Reading and their weird fans, but Wycombe's actions here are ambulance chasing of the highest order, and show Wycombe and their owners up for exactly what they are.

Shame they didn't do this last week.....imagine the Reading crowd might have made things a bit spicier last Saturday if they'd known the Wycombe vultures were about to swoop.

Probably held off news of the merger to avoid that.

(If we all just keep saying it is happening it either will or everyone will believe it is, which is win win).

Does Ox/Berks/Bucks need more than one team? The Ox/Berks/Bucks Light Infantry FC playing out of MK Dons ground has a catchment area of nearly 2 and a half million, alright it’s a disgusting abomination that would only get 500 bed wetters in but do people have to be so provincial?

You should be posting as 'Mystic Colin' - the comments in the last paragraph are spot on!

On Talksport earlier, Marc Bircham was being quizzed on who the club was, that he and a company he's involved with in America, are interested in taking over. He didn't admit to it being Reading but from the chuckling going on the background it would suggest it may well be.

Apparently Wycombe have offered 50% of what Reading paid for their training ground.
IF this goes through Reading will be in an even bigger mess. Their owner really doesn't care less does he?

It almost feels as if it's worse than that now.....that the owner cares deeply about screwing the club over as hard as he can (whilst extracting as much cash as he can in the meantime)

But until the football regulator shows that it has the teeth to actually force club sales (and not just when the owner concerned is having his assets frozen), I'm not sure how Reading get out of this.....

Would you really want them to die? What's football without rivalries and a bit of hostility? You would just end up with a league with teams like Burton and Shrewsbury, it would be boring.

I want Reading and Swindon to be crap, but I want them around.
After how Reading acted when we were in the s**t in 2006? No thanks fcuk them
