Don't think we will tbh. We make at least 2 stupid mistakes a game giving goals to the opposition. We don't score when we're on top and tend to give up when we let in the 2nd. I.e. didn't create anything once they scored against the run of play. We have a losing mentality unfortunately.lucky lucky Portsmouth. But if we play the same way for the last 10 games we have a great chance of making the playoffs
COYY
Exactly, but those fooled by Des can be happy even with a loss if the performance isn’t too bad.Improved performance, yes, but that's 1 win in 10 now. Dress it up however you like, but it's simply not good enough.
Murphy should have played in Harris for a tap in 2nd half. Can't say he was immense if his end product was zeroMuch improved performance and actually exciting to watch. Play like that and we will win more than we lose. Dale and Murphy immense on the wings but Dale just edged it for me just for getting under the skin of the pompey commentators alone.
As for the fans moaning about us playing pretty football, I am pretty sure it is the same ones who were moaning about the boring, long ball football with no game plan in the previous games.
Pompey will know they got lucky with that win and we will feel very hard done by not to get at least a point, if not all 3.

I'm intrigued, so please humour me here..So close !!!!! Really ? I’ve seen nothing since he’s been here to suggest we are anywhere near close. Today was a good performance, is that what ‘so close’ means ?
The reality of lower league football. Bit different to the World Cup.Silly comments I thought football was the beautiful game only a English football fan could say that no wonder we haven't the world Cup since 1966
For starters anyone with EFL or equivalent experience would be a candidate.I'm intrigued, so please humour me here..
Your in charge of the club, you're the top cheese, the man who hires and fires the staff. I think we are all in agreement you want to fire Des so I assume he'd be gone.
What's your next move, who are you replacing him with?
Quite.Agree. Some are dressing this up as the turning point but Des has had 24 games including cup games in charge and one decent performance against Pompey even though we lost doesn't change my feeling he was the wrong choice to takeover from Manning.
Despite the naysayers we simply have to give Des the Summer and most of next season before thinking of showing him the door. Hopefully with a few tweaks, a few ins and outs we may actually click next season.
Brilliant. So you're in charge of OUFC having sacked the manager and your answer is "anyone else"For starters anyone with EFL or equivalent experience would be a candidate.
The current form can't continue, let's see what happens - definitely an improvement today despite the result. If Des continues his current form into the next 10 games we cannot afford to give him next season in my opinion. His current ppg is 1.10 which is relegation form. Thankfully we had such a good start under Manning before he left we were in no danger going down when Des took over.
