I hope we go with a back 4 tonight.

I can see why people are down at the mo but over the last few years our games with Pompey have always been big matches and tonight is no different, so hopefully those talking about not coming will have a last minute change of heart. It's games like tonight where the team needs support.

Midweek games are difficult for many. I haven't lived in Ox for 30 years and live 50 miles away (closest I've lived since I was 18), I love games under the lights but Tuesday night games are a right a**e to get to for me! However this a game I wouldn't want to miss.

I could see tonight being a draw, with us picking up 3 points on Sat (It looks like Reading may be losing more players before the window closes).

Up the Ox!

Switching to the North Stand for this one tonight to accommodate a friend who fancied this one too.

Feels like Pompey are coming out of their wobble but we are Oxford and could just as easily turn in a winning performance off the back of recent defeats.

But Iā€™m going 2-2, which Iā€™d be okay with on recent showings as long as we can follow it up with 3 points from Reading.

We need to summon the spirit of the GOAT this evening if we're going to take all three points.

Certainly played like a goat. That first touch, or complete lack of it, still cracks me up. The moment we thought we'd found a hidden superstar...

Not looking forward to this but offer me a draw and a win against Reading, I donā€™t think there would be many who would turn that down.

I canā€™t explain away the Bristol Rovers defeat. Just a rotten first half. The Barnsley defeat was more of a lottery with the weather where the luck wasnā€™t with us so I donā€™t make out itā€™s as bad as the doomsayers want it to be.

I'm not even sure when we were crap under KR that I've seen so many people say they aren't looking forward to a game... šŸ«£

I'm hoping to be wowed, expecting to be underwhelmed as usual over the past month or so.
No more injuries, pretty please.

I'm not expecting any points tonight, given the current state of the squad, but still hoping for reinforcements by the end of the month. Des is currently operating with one arm tied behind his back so believe he shouldn't be judged yet:

Oxford United 0 - Portsmouth 2.

Think we will lose 2-0. Football unpredictable though, sometimes you can nab a lucky win. Got to hope.

I simply don't get this mentality.

We can be frustrated with our recent performances and results, and we can have little hope for this to change. But that should never mean that we accept defeat before a ball is kicked, especially at home against a team who has only picked up one more point than us in the last 6 games.

We had a thread about the mentality of the players, but some of our fans are so much worse.
He's not hoping for a 2-0 defeat ahead of kick off out of "respectability".

He's hoping for a defeat so he can say "told you so".
