Money is tight for most, it's a tuesday, we're dull and uninspiring to watch, and there's a high chance we lose.

I don't really think 'loyalty' comes into it, for many it just doesn't make sense to go.

We may have a slim chance if we can stock up on midfield options in time for kick off. If we don't then I just see it as another big team coming and bullying us about in the middle of the park and eventually running out winners. McGuane, Brannagan, Goodrham etc will just be bouncing off their more robust players. You just know what awaits with this sort of fixture - maybe a bright opening 20 minutes, bit of false hope before they take control, start passing about and take the chance that comes their way. It wont get Wigan messy but I'm fearing a real footballing lesson tomorrow night and as I predicted elsewhere - 4-0 Pompey.

As much as I’m frustrated with the decision from day one to appoint Buckingham, I can’t understand people choosing not to go to the match if they possibly can. Supporting Oxford has always been taking the rough with the smooth and it’s always been more of the former.
Therefore, I’ll be going and cheering as per usual although I am dissatisfied as many of us has a right to be but if going will give an extra percentage point to the players motivation that could secure a win or draw then I’m happy to go and help and we as supporters do make a difference, especially at home.
A lot of people are fed up with seeing 1500 deliriously happy fans in the away end. It always seems to end that way in the games that really matter. Not that this one matters so much now with our decline.

Sorry but voted for a Pompey win against a very lacklustre disoriented side

I’m going but my usual optimism is being quickly eroded. Away win, just can’t see where a winning performance will come from at the moment. Prove me wrong Ffs.

I know I should support the team through thick and thin but really cannot be motivated to drive 130miles each way to watch our team play half a game, get played off the park, concede a gut-wrenching load of goals, offer nothing going forward, put in an insipid defensive display without even a flicker of hope or inspiration or any clue as to what we're trying to do.
So sorry but for this one I'm staying at home.

Oh yeah, if you've got to drive that sort of distance I don't blame you.

Yeah, good thinking, you can then come back on the site and start a thread about a lack of atmosphere and supporters not getting behind the team.

I hope for the best, fear for the worst but will get behind the team.
