Ive not been to The Rioch , but have driven past it often - its about a 45mins to an hour drive from HeadingtonWhen I went (Tuesday night game) we parked in one of the car parks near by and just went in the casino, pretty decent in there although its about 6/7 years ago so not even certain if its still there, remember it being easy to find the parking and get in/out, so its a hassle free away game even if its not the most inspiring draw.

Man, they seriously chose Palace vs. Everton and Tottenham vs. Burnley as TV games? Sky shows like five Premiership games a week, and even they wouldn't show those two!
I know that the draw was not particularly interesting (other than the obvious Sunderland-Newcastle & Wigan-Man U games) but surely they could have done better than that.
Maidstone vs. Port Vale/Stevenage, for example......
The BBC, not being a commercial enterprise and funded by the licence fee, cannot use this defense. They have free rein to show whichever tie they deem the most interesting without worrying about eyeballs. But they will still select the same old Prem v Prem tosh.TV planners obviously add up the combined fanbases of each team and pick the highest numbers. They don't seem to have a grasp of the neutral viewer or is this because the number of neutral viewers is relatively low?
While I think the choices the TV planners make are very very unimaginative once we get to R3, I can sort of see their point when they are trying to appeal to non football purists. ITV and BBC hardly ever get to show live domestic football. It's not unreasonable to pick the games that are likely to get the biggest audiences (even the BBC rates it's programmes by audience share) - and more of the general public are interested in watching Man Utd / Man City / Liverpool / Chelsea et al then want to watch what we might think are the more interesting ties. You see the same effect when we play at home against a Prem Team - tickets go like hot cakes. People like watching those sides.
Given that both BBC and ITV both have multiple channels and a lot of air time to fill, I'd accept their choice of the 'glamour' ties if they would also put one or two of the more interesting ones on another channel (as they have done with the earlier rounds of the cup).
There's a chance I might be wrong, but I have the tiniest amount of a sneaking suspicion that will be for reasons other than ITVs interest in lower league football in general. You can invariably always get Wrexham FA Cup ties on ITVX.
I agree about Man Utd / Man City / Liverpool / Chelsea but really who's interested in the likes of Palace or Burnley? Derby probably have more fans and more neutral appeal than some PL also-rans.While I think the choices the TV planners make are very very unimaginative once we get to R3, I can sort of see their point when they are trying to appeal to non football purists. Load of old rubbish. Good for those overseas though.
Hong Kong, Indonesia and Thailand, maybe?Yep, sucks for all of you. Potentially great for us!
Although I believe that means it's going to be on at the same time as Sunderland vs. Newcastle? Which international broadcaster has taken a look at that game and gone "Nope. What we really need to bring in the viewers is Coventry and Oxford"?!?
