Agree, no way can Brown be described as one of the best left back in L1 last season. He was nowhere near that level of performance. He's a makeshift left back at best and I'm not overly convinced he's near to being a first choice centre back for a top end L1 club either. He might have been one of our better players but that's no remit for a free pass in to the team this year. Brannagan was off it last season but you don't bin him off the back of a mediocre season and it should work the other way too.

Normally this thread goes off on weird tangents, we are signing/being linked with so many players that the only slight tangent is how good is Simon Eastwood, barely recognise the place.

Football is brutal business and one that you either sink or swim. Even working within football as a staff member, if you don’t have a certain personality or thick skin then you don’t last long. I dropped out of it due to not liking how cut throat it is but have gone back into it (more fool me) but what is said on a football forum by fans has little impact on players unless it is relentless (Bodin mentioned this).
Most managers will actually tell players to take no notice of what fans are saying.
