He was alone on the pitch and when he tried to approach the fans to thank them many of us started chanting ‘out, out, out’. It was at this point he quickly left the field.

This is our best team
When all fit
Long Moore Findlay Brown
Bodin Brannagan Bate
Goodrham Odonkor Browne

We need this line up for speed and creativity and then back 4 to be defensive If Bodin not fit then Henry
Odonkor has much more to his game than Joseph can hold it up Better and finish

You might want to add a goalie, sort of helps at the back.

I think the responses at the final whistle spoke volumes.
Henry was very quick to head over to the fans and the hands up gesture was well judged. Long was not far behind, Brown handed over his shirt to a young supporter, while baldock was nearly in tears. Even the long term loanees Bate and Joseph, while hanging back, seemed to get it - this lot DO care and are clearly as frustrated as we are and know it's not good enough, but almost having to do it themselves, despite the management..

It was equally noticeable that the supporters responded positively to all this.

Karl will probably tell you that he didn't follow so as to avoid the players being caught up in any booking; his critics will tell you that he turned chicken; to me it's a bit of both, coupled with a the feeling that it is all over...

Based on this Henry and Baldock sharing caretaker duties for the rest of the season is, for me, the way to go to get this group of players over the line together..

He’s obviously upset you in the past. Can you elaborate ? You mentioned something about 11 years ago with him, I’m intrigued by that as he was MK manager then.
He’s an arrogant, insincere man who does not conduct himself in a manner befitting of a responsible, professional football manager. He is the ultimate scorched earth merchant, and you will find many more people in football with bad things to say than good. Although he’s done a good job of making sure that the ones who speak fondly of him are those with the biggest platforms and the loudest microphones.

He knows the value of people, but only the right ones. Good to see him once again showing what happens as soon as he’s challenged by somebody who is meant to conform. Imagine what goes on off air if that’s how he acts on it.

I have been telling people that this man is dangerous for years on this forum, and I’ve posted plenty of links to articles in national newspapers that paint a vastly different picture to the image he managed to sucker people into buying into for so long. It’s all out there. It’s all on the record. People were just too blinded by cheap populist tricks, as well as little gold runs of form to care or notice.

I cannot wait to see the back of that man, and not one single supporter of this football club should mourn his departure.

I wonder how he will react under the scrutiny of visiting fans to the trining ground on Friday, if he is still around? That has the hallmarks of a PR disaster
Had this conversation with my friend earlier. He will be long gone before any fans turn up. If he’s still here. He won’t put himself in that situation.

For me its been his treatment of players, and the total lack of respect for their Mental Health, yet he is so quick to jump on the same band wagon when it suits him.
please could you post any links you have, I dont recall seeing them last time.

Interesting.

I’ve come across a fair few managers and players in my time - nothing like as many as you maybe have - and to be honest I liken a lot of them to comedians (not in the literal sense) but in that the public persona is very very different to the one portrayed on TV or in the media. A lot have been associated with OUFC and, put this way, the genuine, sincere, salt of the earth ones you could count on the fingers of one hand.

How dare you.

As manager of Oxford United Karl recognizes the importance of mental health and the part that it plays in how we perform as people, not just on the pitch. Football remains a male-dominated sport but Karl has been determined to break down issues associated with that

I think his time is up and he needs to go but I feel you’re going over the top with his treatment of players. He‘s bombed a few out, big deal. If a footballer cant handle the cold shoulder when he’s under performing then I’m not sure, as a fan, i want him in my teams starting line up on a Saturday. The preciousness of a modern day player must do managers heads in.

I'm sorry his treatment of Smith and Jones, the way he talks to national radio is completely unprofessional. The way he treated and spoke to Sykes, Whyte and others.
The way he spoke of Pekalski after a Plymouth game some time ago, was nothing more than bullying, again to the national press. The way he has thrown individuals under the bus in the past due to his inadequacies.
There are other examples, but this adds up to the characteristics of a bully, who tells all it is my way or the highway, not the caring football manager he professes to be.
